The food quality and serving size makes them highly overpriced. The rates match that of cafes and bakers in New Delhi, but nowhere do they provide the service worth it. The owner when asked for a fork for the apple almond cake slice suggested us to instead eat it with hands, like a pizza, be said. Then came the coffee, which was okay. Then coming to the breakfast, cheese omelette with cheese bread for my friend and tomato cheese sandwich for me. These two were jokes! They used commercial standard ordinary bun and used that for bread. I mean who was he kidding. The omelette had just a single piece of bun to finish it off with. Very poor for the 250 bucks they charged for it. The sandwich had cheese as its major and only performer. Not worth 250 bucks, given the lack of good quality bread and substandard filling. Also, nothing to accompany it with, no sauces or napkins provided with it. When asked for napkins, the owner counted two cheap quality paper napkins and gave one of us each. Joke!
Now comes the attitude of the owner. Probably he thinks people are being served for free, because he keeps you waiting for the bill. Then after a wait of 15 minutes, in which he just ignored your request twice, and carried on with his work, he just tells you how much you have to pay. And when asked for the bill, he said that would amount to more charges. Then we asked him to just write roughly what the charges were, which he again didn't do, he orally gave a rough calculation of it.
So, 900 bucks for a cheap roadside quality omlette and sandwich, and an average slice of apple almond cake slice, and average coffee, along with poor customer service. Definitely...

My ankle twisted and I fell on the floor cause of their poor flooring. I got up and sat on the nearby table as I wasnt in a condition to walk. This grumpy man - supposedly self-proclaimed King of Shimla, notices that I had a fall and yet he tells me to not to sit on the table and move. I tell him, "I'm not able to walk cause I have ankle pain, give me a moment." He doesn't seem to care and makes a hand gestures to Move. Absolutely arrogant and unempathetic,Till I got up and walked, he didn't stop.
I wonder if he doesn't want to serve PPL and be kind, why bother himself to run that place.. is it only to insult and humiliate PPL and feel superior. Gratify his inflated ego. Such places should be closed down. He isn't doing any charity, he needs to know it's a freaking transaction... He gives food and we pay money for his service . Simple as that. He isn't being generous and doing any charity.
Given this...we decided not to eat at his place and rather go to another joint which respects and values their customers. Better walk further down and have food at "The Good Times Cafe" - the staff is more courteous and kind.
My friend faced issues when she had visited in Feb 2022. Just not interested to serve his customers.
No body wants subservience , basic respect n courtesy is an expected behaviour from someone who runs service business.
Safe yourself from insult and ...
Read moreSo, I went to this bakery all excited to get some cakes as souvenirs for my family. The cakes on display looked amazing – all fancy and pretty. When we tried the cake there, it was good, warm, and made us happy. But then came the shocker.
I had placed a parcel order for five cakes, thinking it would be a sweet deal for 2500 rupees. But boy, was I wrong! When I got home and opened the boxes, reality hit me like a ton of bricks. Those cakes were tiny – like around 475 to 500 grams each. And to make matters worse, they tasted just like a basic homemade banana cake. Seriously, nothing special.
What really got to me was the price. I felt like I'd been scammed big time. And the lady running the show there, she was old and seriously rude. Not a pleasant experience.
Looking back, I should've seen the warning signs – the high prices and the cakes that looked like something anyone could bake at home. It's a bummer, but my advice is simple: don't bother with that bakery. It might look good, but you'll end up feeling like you wasted your money on cakes that aren't anything to...
