This is a 3/4 * hotel but the standards are below par. I had a terrible experience at this place. I checked in to the hotel on 28th Aug and to my surprise, the hotel room given to me was unclean. probably the word unclean is small to say as the room was not cleaned at all when the previous guest checked out. On top of that, someone peed in the shower area and the room was given like that without cleaning or even basic sanitization. Given the pandemic, how careless are they? As soon as i saw the unclean room, i complained at the reception and the person was very cool to say that he would send a person to get the room cleaned. Ideally, they are supposed to immediately shift the room.||"Das" house keeping supervisor was sent who splashed water in the shower area, changed the bedsheets and went away. How careless were they? HK supervisor acknowledged that it was not cleaned from the previous check-in and he wd get it done. The bedsheets had hair, bindi of previous guests, hair all over the floor. This is the standard of the cleanliness at this hotel. I went again to the reception to speak to the manager who wasn't there and she arranged HK manager to speak to me who agreed the fault and shifted me to a different room. Someone peed in the washroom and was badly smelling when entered. Was shocked to find the room like that. When complained at the reception, it was cleaned but not changed. Later on, found the bedsheets were used, floor was dirty and then realized that it was not cleaned at all after previous guest checked out before assigning the room to me. When complained again at the reception (manager wasn't there both the times) , he sent the housekeeping supervisor to do the needful. Had to wait for over an hr to get that done. Finally, went again in the evening to speak to the manager who wasn't available but a different person was there at the reception. She arranged the house keeping manager to talk to me who agreed the fault and immediately arranged for shifting to another room. No matter how busy a hotel could be, given the situation like covid, how could they do this? Given that I visited for a function who booked the hotel, I couldn't shift to a different hotel. Otherwise for the price paid here for a double occupancy, I could have got a 5* accommodation like the Marriott/Sheraton. Chutney in the breakfast was stale. Pretty bad experience...
Read moreI stayed there for two nights. Wonderful construction, clean rooms, and good amenities in the room. Few challenges which were not anticipated at a place like this. 1. Poor WiFi - repeated requests did not make any difference, they will not correct the situation, neither let the service engineer come to the room and try to tell that some problem in my system. I had three hour long meetings on both the evenings, which I could not attend using the hotel wifi, and I had to use my phone with added data purchase. They even did not agree to change the room as the router near my room may not be functional. It was working well in the lobby, so internet was not a problem, only the attitude to help was lacking. ||2. Very interesting breakfast: lots of spread, but they cannot serve filter coffee, black coffee and takes ages to get "eggs to order". They kept persuading for ginger black tea, if we asked for black coffee or filter coffee. ||3. I had to leave at 4:30 AM and I requested the previous evening, if one veg sandwich can be packed.
