My recent experience at Shikha, Jaipur, was far from pleasant, and unfortunately, it's not a place I would recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The moment I stepped into the lobby, a wave of unpleasant odor hit me, setting the tone for the rest of my visit. The most significant issue that plagued my entire stay was the unbearable stench that permeated the hotel premises. The foul smell seemed to follow me everywhere, from the hallways to my room, making it impossible to escape. Upon entering my room, I was appalled to find that the bad smell was even more pronounced there. The Hotel Boy attempts to mask the odor with air fresheners only made the situation worse, creating an overwhelming mix of artificial fragrances and the underlying unpleasantness. As if the offensive smell wasn't enough, my room also played host to unwelcome guests - insects. Throughout the night, I found myself in a battle with tiny crawlers and flying bugs, trying to shoo them away. It was incredibly frustrating and made it almost impossible for me to get any rest. Not to mention, it raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the establishment. I doubt I will be able to get any sleep during my time here. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking a stay at this hotel until they address these glaring issues and improve their overall...
Read moreThis was my second visit and stay at the Shikha. Located right in C-Scheme opposite the Deer Park and having been operating for more than thirty years, everyone especially taxi and auto drivers know about it and will safely get you there. People with reduced mobility might have some issues as there are no rooms on the ground floor and there is no elevator present. However, everything else in this hotel especially its staff is five star quality Mr Balbir Singh, the Manager looks after every guest and organises their particular food options as was the case with me as I don't eat spicy food. The WiFi connection is very fast and uninterrupted all the times, as I saw both the times I stayed here. Hardly any hotel in this locality within this price range will provide you with your own small balcony, ample parking space and even a small green lawn to stretch your legs. Every room has amazing Mitsubishi Heavy air-conditioners which make the room cold as an ice box, should you want to. Beds are nice and clean and so are the sheets and towels, there are even mini fridges in every room. Will be very happy to stay for my...
Read moreRecently i visited jaipur and booked two so called deluxe rooms. My experience was so horrible its hard to explain in words. Review on rooms - Full of mosquitoes, lesson i learnt do not make your reservation just by seeing room images on website. Review on commitments made by hotel on website- They said to provide 20% discount on dinning at their bar restaurant and i pre informed them to have dinner at this place i also informed restuarant staff while entering the premises that i am staying in your hotel but when i received the bill there was no discount provided to me instead the service staff quoted that they shall not provide any discount on bill as they are not a part of hotel.Eventually i paid the bill but feeling disgraced and anguished i complaint mr.soni manager of hotel shikha and was shocked to listen from him that i should have brought the matter in there knowledge before billing and now they cannot help me out. Such is the hospitality of this pethetic hotel. Conclusion - dont go by pics or fake ratings given on website as these are not...
