Our hosts are truly delightful, the whole family are involved in taking care of your every need, they really can't do enough for you. Our room was scrupulously clean which isn't something you see a lot of in these parts. You are free to use the kitchen if you wish. Our evening meal was delicious and plentiful even making a separate meal for my partner who's not a great spice/curry fan. On the down side, our room is quite small but adequate and has no outlook. There is however an outside seating area, again not much of an outlook but if you draw the curtains that surround the balcony you can see the surrounding trees/greenery. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily return. The place was quite hard to find as it was off the main road and not sign posted and the tuktuk drivers didn't know where it was. I would suggest carrying the phone number with you and getting a tuktuk driver to phone the owners for you so they can explain how to find them. And they are well worth...
Read moreOne of the best home stay I have ever visited. The people are so welcoming, caring and had a great hospitality. I must mention that, they made us so comfortable and feel at home that we never felt we were home away. We are free to use the kitchen and learn the Kerala delicacy(Thats the best part). The food was just amazing and finger licking prepared by Jancy Aunty ,and through out our stay we never felt any discomfort as they were periodically checking if we were fine and if we need anything. I was very much overwhelmed with Raju uncle"s hospitality as he was more than glad to serve us from the time we came in till the time we left. Ending up with the adorable daughters ,Keerthy and Catherin who made us feel at home by walking us through the beautiful place was an unforgettable experience. Since I am very particular about hygienic and cleanliness, i must say it's one of the cleaniest rooms and best homestay you can ever experience. Looking forward for my next...
Read moreMy fiancé and I had the pleasure to spend 6 days at Marari Peace Homestay. We felt very welcomed from day one by Raju, Jarcy, Catherine and Katie. The double deluxe room with bathroom and AC was very clean and the air was fresh. The hosts offered to cook dinners for us which were very delicious, healthy and plentiful. We even had the chance to cook together some evenings with Jarcy and learned bits of the magic that goes into Kerala foods. Thanks for those useful cooking lessons Jarcy! We are also grateful for the delicious snacks and refreshments that we received during the day. We also enjoyed playing carrom (table game) with the host family. This homestay is also well located, as the beautiful Marari beach is about a 5 minutes walk away. The hosts were very welcoming, considerate and friendly at all times. In closing, I can highly recommend Marari Peace Homestay. A big NANI (നന്ദി) to Jarcy, Raju,...
