Come here maybe for the food and the view but DO NOT STAY. Extremely rude service right from checking in. Miscommunication galore and people dnt know how to smile. We were there for my bday weekend and although we were told the river view rooms were available but was only provided 2 out of 3(prices being the same). The attitude of the people checking in made me ask “why did I come here?” That’s still okay but the real problem started once we checked in. We had to make multiple requests to get towels, slippers and an iron. It was dirty and my pricey white linen shirt got damaged. No solution was provided and no apologies. Someone came over and said Sorry only after we had multiple alterations. Then in the night, after dinner, when we went to sleep the non river facing room had horrible smell. The room service folks came and even they couldn’t stand and overhearing them it felt it was a common issue. After making me wait another 15 mins I was offered another similar room only to find it had horrible cigarette smoke smell. After another 15 mins of standing, 3 calls and a long trip to the reception someone finally came over and offered another room which was by the entrance. The room was dusty (see picture where one can clearly see the dust flying around under the light) however by then I was too tired to fight and just needed a place to crash. The room was bombarded with constant noise coming from the main door and the staff (and some other guests) using them till late in the night and chatting among themselves all the while hauling heavy items around( or I have no idea what other way metal on metal banging noise will be created). Nevertheless, woke up with heavy head with no sleep to get breakfast and leave asap. Avoid room 212 at all cost. Checked out and still no apologies. Stay away from staying here. Location is their selling point and food is at best mediocre but yeah, the view from the restaurant is the only one that’s worth it if you want to enjoy it for few hours.

Sailing into Serenity: A Review of Polo Floatel Kolkata We recently had the pleasure of staying at Polo Floatel Kolkata, and it was a truly enchanting experience. This unique ship-hotel, anchored on the Hooghly River, offers a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking, panoramic view of the river and the iconic Howrah Bridge. Waking up to the gentle rocking of the boat and the sight of ferries gliding by was incredibly peaceful and serene. The location is undoubtedly the star of the show. The views from the room and the rooftop were absolutely stunning, especially at sunset when the sky transformed into a canvas of vibrant colors. The romantic glow of the city lights reflecting on the water at night made for an unforgettable backdrop. My room was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, with a large window that provided an uninterrupted view of the river. It was the perfect sanctuary to unwind and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. The food was another major highlight. The restaurant, with its spectacular river view, served a delicious array of local Bengali and international dishes. Every meal was a culinary delight, prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Dining on the upper deck, with the cool river breeze and the city lights in the distance, was a magical experience. Finally, the service was impeccable. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made me feel truly welcome. In conclusion, Polo Floatel Kolkata is more than just a hotel; it’s a unique and immersive experience. It's the perfect choice for a romantic getaway or a tranquil escape with unparalleled views and delicious food. I/We highly recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Kolkata.

We stayed at Polo Floatel, Kolkata from 28th July to 7th August, and those 11 days were nothing short of amazing. From the moment we stepped in and were welcomed with a refreshing drink, we knew we were in for something special.🍹 We had booked the river view cabin, and waking up to the Hooghly river flowing peacefully outside our window was like a dream. Watching sunsets from the room, seeing ships cruise by became our favourite part of each day.Every morning began with their lavish breakfast buffet ,a delicious spread with something for everyone. And beyond the amenities, what made our stay truly unforgettable was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They greeted us daily with genuine smiles and thoughtful conversations, always checking in on how we were doing. 🤝 I fell sick for a day during our stay, and the care I received from the staff touched my heart. They arranged customised meals, ensured room service was prompt, and kept checking in on my recovery. I’m deeply thankful to Mr. Akash, who even went to the market to get me medicine and fruits, his kindness meant a lot. Special thanks to Mr. Roshan, the manager, who was always there to guide us about Kolkata, help us plan our days, and made sure our stay was smooth. Mr. Dharmendra and Mr. Soumen from the restaurant was equally wonderful, always ensured the food and service exceeded our expectations.🤍 When it was time to check out, it truly felt like we were leaving a piece of our heart behind. The staff told us they’d miss us, and we absolutely felt the same. It was emotional, saying goodbye after building such sweet memories and bonds over those days. Thank you, Polo Floatel, for making our stay so special. Your hospitality, warmth, and the beautiful experience you gave us will stay with us forever. We hope to return soon! 🫶🏻

Polo Floatel offers a delightful dining experience with its picturesque location overlooking the river and a diverse culinary spread. I recently visited Polo Floatel for their buffet and overall, it was a delightful experience. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that sets the tone for a memorable meal.

The restaurant's interior is elegant and spacious, with comfortable seating options both indoors and outdoors. The panoramic views of the river add to the dining experience, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual outing with friends and family.

The buffet spread at Polo Floatel is impressive, featuring a wide array of dishes to cater to different tastes and preferences. From local delicacies to international cuisines, there is something for everyone here. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, reflecting the culinary expertise of the chefs. However, one area that could be improved is the starter section, as it felt a bit lacking compared to the rest of the offerings.

The main course was delicious, with a good selection of dishes to choose from. The desserts were also quite impressive, with a wide range of items to satisfy any sweet tooth. However, it would have been nice to see some ice cream among the dessert options.

The service at Polo Floatel is impeccable, with attentive staff members ensuring that all your needs are met promptly.

In conclusion, Polo Floatel offers a top-notch dining experience with its stunning location, delectable cuisine, and excellent service. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal with loved ones, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression. I would highly recommend Polo Floatel for its buffet. The food quality, variety, and ambiance make it a great...
