MPT Betwa Retreat, Orchha — Hotel in Madhya Pradesh

After lot of search and deliberations on reviews of various booking sites I finally chose to stay at this MP tourism resort after seeing the overall good reviews of this resort. This resort does complete justice to its reviews..rather more than that.. although it's opening may not look very grand but don't go by the outer facade.. resort is very beautiful, space has been very efficiently managed to cover all facilities like garden, restaurent on first floor, children's park, swimming pool, nice reception and sitting lobby etc etc... we could not book tents as all were occupied and so I had to booked rooms... few good.highlights of resort are Very Spacious rooms, very clean washrooms, engaging decor, well maintained ..overall superior rooms with qualitative facilities Had dinner and breakfast at resort. Quality and quantity of food served was very good. morning complimentary breakfast was light and of good quality.. overall food quality is also very good Staff was very supportive, forthcoming and positive. Served with smile and positivity which speaks of good management. Amazing location with all visiting places including temple at walkable distance and last but not the least A very positive and engaging person named Mr Shashikant Mishra was at reception seat and facilitated our promt checking out ... and gave valuable information about MP tourism and also MP tourism resorts...

Overall Amazing experience... and I have found a good place to stay at Orchha..

This property is situated besides the Betwa river. The best part of this property is the location . The Royal Chhatris or the cenotaphs is hardly 200 meters away and a 15 minutes walk will take you to Chaturbhuj temple,Ramraja temple and the Palace . The moment you enter the property you will observe beautifully landscaped garden and the heritage suite along with the other rooms. The heritage suite in the season will be occupied , if you want to stay in here then it has to be booked well in advance. Rooms are better option to stay with ample of space. Tents are little gloomy , I particularly felt the need of better lighting and ventilation. All the three stay options have all the amenities that good hotels have. MP State Tourism Development Corporation management has done hard work to improve its image and that can be felt while you stay in their properties. The staff and their manager here are cooperative and polite. The restaurant in this property need to improve. Food is below average and most of the menu items are unavailable. Often specific instructions for food that you order are forgotten. If you are staying in this property for long you can go for local food outlets , kindly check their rating on TripAdvisor or Google. Apart from that this place is great for couple of days. Senior citizens have discounts if they book through...

This is great experience. This is the best place in mesmerizing Orchha .If you are thrill seeking then you may opt for Sheesh Mahal but I prefer this one , specially with family/couple. The room cleaning happens around 11:30 a.m. so you may get disappointed if you are looking for early cleaning. the check-in time is odd around 2:00 p.m. but you will get an early check-in without extra cost around 11:30 a.m. based on availability. This restaurant has a Bar facility and drink prices are comparatively cheap. You will see lots of birds but better avoid hang anything outside for drying . There are several monkeys nearby and they may take it. It has pool, pool side seating arrangements, kids play area and all well maintained. All the places are within walking distance. The stuff's are humble and rooms are excellent. The breakfast buffet is overall good. The lunch/dinner food is very less spicy and taste bland for us. We found that Chinese items are much better in taste than normal indian dishes. Orchha has some budget hotels but only 2 quality hotels and both are MPT hotels. Overall it may looks bit expensive but if you want to enjoy Orchha as family/couple better...
