HOTEL Sai Leela Residency — Hotel in Mumbai

We had booked this hotel, 15 days before arrival for 7 people or 2 rooms. But on the night before arrival at 1 or 2 am, we were mailed that the hotel is full and there are no rooms available for your stay. We argued with the guy on the phone but the receptor was very rude.It was night and I was in the train and needed some sleep for the work I had to do the next day, which I did not get due to the stress for spending the following night. In the morning, I again called and argued with him when finally he said that he would arrange our rooms in their other hotel. So when we reached their hotel, they took us to another hotel far away from the first and it was very much farther from the destination where I had to go. it was like 15-17 kms from my destination when the Sai Leela Hotel was just 4-5 kms away and we chose it because of its close proximity to my destination. The staff at Sai Leela was bad and the receptionist on the phone said to the manager that why are the customers coming even after mailing them not to come. There were other groups of people with situation similar to us. I mean if you can't provide rooms, why did you even confirm booking. They didn't show any responsibility of the blunder they made. The driver that was supposed to take as their other hotel came 15-20 minutes late who was sleeping in a room and we we had to sit idle for a long time at the reception. And also their other hotel was not a good one, I have also reviewed that hotel, you can check out that review. The name of that other hotel was Anil guest house in Santa Cruz East. The hotel Sai Leela looked similar and its location was very bad too, in a narrow lane of Andheri. I advise you to spend some more money and get a better...

I booked this hotel as i needed a place to stay for only a couple hours because I was leaving late night/early morning back to the airport. But i didn't realise how bad this place was. However, i didn't make a big deal due to the fact i was only staying for a couple hours.

The cleanliness of this place was awful - there were mice running around and i even saw a small frog jumping around by the recepion area as i was leaving for the airport! To top this off, there was blood stains and hair on my bed sheet.

There was no signal on the TV.

I tried to order from there and they ordered from their partner restaurants but it tasted horrible.

The staff were nice but what good is that when the place was unclean and the necessities you needed were not good enough for what you paid for!

I didnt realise when i booked this place that it was going to be like this as no reviews i read up on this place stated all these things!

I was the only girl that stayed there - everyone else were guys! I didn't feel safe there and the lock in my room was broken so you couldn't even lock the door - shocking! And, there is a wine shop right outside the residency where there were rowdy guys shouting and screaming whenever you walked past!

Lets just say i couldn't wait to leave ASAP soon as i got there!

Before booking, please read this review. Dont get fooled by the ratings here and especially on oyo, because when you check out they themselves ask you to open the app for checking out and themselves ask to give a 5star rating. The room was small, ac was not working plus it was leaking water, there was so much leakage in the room, washroom was not clean and the biggest of all was the horrible room service. The bedsheet was dirty so i asked them to change but the man denied changing the bedsheet and said that i have changed it in the morning, I insisted because it was pretty dirty (and lets not forget covid times) still he didnt change it (this shows rude behaviour). There was no Ac remote in the room so i called thrice for the room service, still they didnt send the remote so i had to literally leave the room and go to the reception then he gave me a remote and after coming to the room i realised that the remote was also not working then again i called twice, no response so i again went personally to the reception, they said we’ll send a remote and guess what i never got the AC remote. I wasted my money here, never going back here. After all this, you decide whether to stay...
