Recently dined here for the sheer love I have for Thai Cuisine. We were welcomed with greetings at the entrance, followed by temperature checks & mobile number registration. Each & every staff member was well equipped with all Covid safety measures & the place was clean spick & span !! The interiors have been done up with alot of elegance & look beautiful. "Thai Naam" will literally take you down to the Thai Streets mentally with the wall installations of Pagoda & Coconut Trees. The whole ambience as well as the staff is very warm & welcoming! Can't believe I dined there for over 2 hours only cause the vibes of the outlet didn't let me leave. Coming to the food we ordered & ate - Mind you there was 0 wastage & we were as shocked on completing all we ordered, but that's the beauty & USP of their food. It doesn't make you feel stuffy & heavy in couple bites. Infact you'll be left wanting for more even though you do get full. Food Satisfaction Level - 10000000
So I'm also a chef & one thing I can say for sure after dining in, each & every ingredient used by Thai Naam in their kitchen is of Superior quality & most of it is also Imported. Specially their meats & seafood. You will be left with 0 complaints when it comes to the quality of food served.
At first you might feel the place is too far, a little too inside or is too pricey! But, take my word for it.. don't let any of these factors allow to pass dining here. This place is a must visit.
Chef Ananda Soloman & his team have done a fab job of bringing out authentic flavours to us! Can't be thankful enough!
Coming back to what all we ordered & our food experience -
We were served by & taken care of completely by Mr.Rohit. He explained us the flavours of the dishes well, which made it easier for us to further decide. Before we began our dinner we were served with complimentary "Cream Cheese Wontons with Mango Sauce" & it was so wonderful! Words fall short.
They have 3 dipping sauces served with appetizers - Peanut Sauce Chilli Honey Sauce Green & Spicy Sauce
All I'd say about these, we called for refils. My best bet is Green & Spicy 🔥
For Appetizers we called for -
Pan Grilled White Prawns with Chilled Cardoon Laced with Sour & Spice Sauce (Koong pad, Kub kood rad, preaw ped)
Marinated Chicken Morsels wrapped in Pandanaus Leaves & fried (Kai Haw Baitoey)
Thai Dimsum with Chicken filling served with Chilli Garlic Sauce (Dim Sum - Kai)
Crispy Lamb stirred with Bell peppers (Pe Phad Prik Thai)
Each of these were so good, they were gone in no time.
For Main course we went ahead with all time favourite 'Thai Green Curry - (Gaeng Kiew Warn -Kai) - this was hands down the BEST Thai Curry I have had & you can definitely not give this one a miss!
Portion sizes of each of these meals is decent enough for 2. Infact more than decent enough. P.S. - trust me you'll be left wanting for more once it's over, even if you're full :D
We ended our dinner on a sweet note with "Dark Callebaut Chocolate Starta with Crackling Almond Crumb"
For the kind of Callebaut lover that I am, I felt the Callebaut could be increased in the dessert 🤭
To wash all this down, we had our cup of teas "Lemongrass" & "Ginger" before leaving.
I am already planning my next visit here & have also decided what will I order when I go next.
Thai Naam is way more than I could have expressed here, for me it is now...

Read moreBack in action, Thai Naam by Chef Ananda in the ORB is by far the best place you’ll be at if you love Thai food. All that you have here will leave you wondering how something can be so beautiful yet so delicious. I can guarantee you’ll be here for more, once you visit this place. Talking about it one at a time:
Ambience: I guess the pictures speak for itself and truly stand by the definition of “beautiful”. Well set tables with well planned interiors, antiques, warm lighting and calm music makes this place stand out and it’s unique with its own touch!
Food: Since I’m a vegetarian, I got my hands on some delish veg thai food. To my wonder, I loved how they’ve kept the menu balanced, prioritizing all kinds of guests that come in. Here’s what I had here:
Cheese wantons with mango sauce: As a sweet gesture and in between your order-decision making, they serve you these complimentary, crunchy, well-cooked wantons filled with cheese & flavours, served/dipped in mango sauce. Enticing!
Clear Noodle Soup with glass noodles: Hot soup with veggies, tasty broth & glass noodles is a win win! It’s a must have if you like authentic soups. No chance you won’t like this!
Potatoes flavoured with ginger, pepper & mushroom in light soya: Hand cut potatoes with peas, pak choi with fresh ganlangal, basil in a spicy gravy was something that will elevate your taste buds, and tastes of authentic thai flavours.
Home style stir fried veggies: Stir fried edamame, bell peppers, zucchini & broccoli with an appetizing sauce, topped with crunchy roasted cashews. Highly Recommend this one! This appetizer was filling and extraordinarily palatable to all who again, love thai flavours, in most authentic way.
There was also a refreshing kokum-cranberry fresh mocktail that was served which was so so refreshing! You should definitely go for it!
Corn cakes flavoured with red curry paste & thai herbs: Bite size canapés kinda corn cakes topped with sprouts, thai herbs, water chestnut & red curry paste. Served with carrot slices and relished with absolute delight. Must try!
Burnt Garlic Jasmine Fried Rice with silken tofu: Jasmine rice cooked to perfection, there was a burnt garlic flavour, literally in every bite. There were also veggies with the rice, and over all the rice was just perfect. The silken tofu with a spicy soy based gravy was the best match for the fried rice, with fresh tofu (which was the best part) and authentic thai flavoured gravy topped with cherry tomatoes & toasted sesame was the best ever main. Go for it, highly recommended.
Dark Callebaut chocolate strata with crackling almond crumb: The melt-in-the-mouth dessert cake with a hint of coffee flavour & roasted almonds is what you should have here for sure. It was so sooooo goooood! Don’t miss on this one!
Hospitality: This place not only focused on serving the most AMAZING food, but they equally made sure, how the best hospitality tops all charts. The staff took utmost care of our tastes & preferences, they were also engaging where they recommended us a few dishes (that turned out to be BOMB) and helped us to make this fine dine experience, a memorable one.
Kudos to team Thai Naam! This is the best place to be at. Please visit this place ASAP!! I’m positive you’ll love...
