Absolutely Shocking Treatment - Avoid if You're Looking for Basic Hospitality
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Dragonfly on September 20th, 2024 was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others, especially women planning an evening out, the incident happened with my Wife and her friends, wanting to spend good time.
What Happened: My Wife and two of her female friends and had planned a nice evening to unwind and dance. There was a advance table booking for 3 people through their Relationship Manager Jay Rathod and paid ₹5,000 as advance payment. Everything seemed set for a pleasant evening.
The Nightmare Began: Upon arrival around 10 PM (before even the DJ had arrived), the staff provided them with a table that had only 2 chairs. When they politely requested a third chair - a basic requirement for our party of 3 - they were met with resistance. The staff expected one of us to stand throughout the evening despite having paid for a table booking.
Unacceptable Behavior from Management: The situation escalated when they persisted with our reasonable request. RM Sana Khan, who was present on the ground, displayed extremely unprofessional and rude behavior toward them. Instead of resolving the issue, she: Spoke to them in a condescending and disrespectful manner Made us feel unwelcome despite our advance booking and payment Ultimately CANCELLED our table booking Sent bouncers to our table to evict them
The Bigger Picture: This wasn't just poor service - it was discriminatory treatment. Three women asking for basic seating arrangements after paying in advance should not be treated like troublemakers. The fact that bouncers were sent to handle paying customers over a simple chair request shows a complete lack of training and professionalism.
Financial Impact: Lost ₹5,000 advance payment Wasted evening and travel costs Had to find alternative arrangements last minute
What Went Wrong: Inadequate table setup despite clear booking for 3 people Unprofessional staff training - both Jay Rathod and Sana Khan failed basic hospitality standards Escalation handling - sending bouncers instead of a manager to resolve the issue Gender sensitivity - the treatment felt particularly dismissive toward female guests No accountability - no attempt to resolve or compensate for the poor experience
Impact on JW Marriott Brand: This experience reflects poorly on the entire JW Marriott brand. When you pay premium prices, you expect premium service. Instead, we received treatment that wouldn't be acceptable even at a budget establishment.
Recommendations for Management: Immediately retrain both RMs on basic hospitality and customer service Review policies on handling customer complaints Implement proper gender sensitivity training Establish clear protocols for table bookings and setup Create a proper escalation matrix that doesn't involve bouncers for paying customers
Warning to Future Guests: If you're planning an evening out, especially as a group of women, I'd strongly recommend choosing a different venue. Dragonfly and its staff are clearly not equipped to handle basic hospitality requirements with dignity and respect.
Final Thoughts: Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and valued. Dragonfly failed spectacularly on every front. Until there are significant changes in management attitude and staff training, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant evening out.
The JW Marriott brand deserves better representation than what Dragonfly currently provides.
Update Request: I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and reaches out to discuss how they plan to prevent such incidents in the future. Accountability and genuine change would go a long way in restoring faith in their...

Visited this amazing place on Thursday night for dinner. It's owned by the famous Restauranteur Priyank Sukhija & Famous Singer Badshah. Mr. Priyank is known for his amazing chain of restaurants. The DJ plays some amazing beats to enjoy your food even more.
AMBIENCE - The place is really huge and the ambience looks superb. You'll feel the amazing vibes once you enter here. The interiors are done by Mr. Sumessh Menon. Amazing work!
STAFF - The staff was super happy to help us. Our server Mr Delton Fernandes made sure that we were served the best of cuisine. The Manager Mr. Ashok ensured everything was going well with our dining experience. The Bartender Prashant prepared some fantastic drinks according to our needs. The presentation of the drinks were top notch and impressive!👌
DRINKS - ▪️ Enter the Dragon ▪️ The Mongal ▪️ Mt. Fuji ▪️ Hello Kitty
•Enter the Dragon - The presentation was so impressive. It came in a Bee shaped glass. The nectar was amazing in taste. The balance of the alcohol and other juices was perfect ! It was a delightful experience having this signature drink 👌 The main ingredients were - Vodka,Tequila, avocado, orange juice, etc.
•The Mongal - Vodka based drink. More on the orange taste. Taste was good.
•Mt. Fuji - This smokey drink is something you'll not forget easily. A lot of smokey flavour can be experienced while sipping this drink. The concept was amazing & so was the taste!
•Hello Kitty - This was a mocktail. The glass was huge. The quality was pretty good. Even thought a mocktail, the preparation was so good. Liked it!
FOOD - ▪️Roasted Peking Chicken Puffsomes ▪️Dynamic Prawns Steamed Bread ▪️Chicken in Red Curry Dumplings ▪️Classic EBI Tempura Sushi ▪️Chicken Satay ▪️Dragon Spiced Fried Rice
•Roasted Peking Chicken Puffsomes Something different from the normal concept. The Puffsomes were moist and the taste was a good mixture of various ingredients.
•Dynamic Prawns Steamed Bread This is a must try from here. It's an open bread which has juicy and soft Prawns on top of it. The amazing selection of sauces made the taste heavenly ! Excellent !
•Chicken in Red Curry Dumplings The Steamed dumplings did not disappoint us. A good amount of flavours I would say.
•Classic EBI Tempura Sushi Wow! The best sushi ever! There was crunchiness in the sushi. The sauces played a pretty good role in enhancing the flavours.
MAINS - •Chicken Satay The Chicken satay were a bit different from the regular ones. It is not in the form of skewers so there is a difference in the taste. The peanut sauce is topped generously over the six slices of chicken. Tastewise it was good but a little bit more marination / juicyness would enhance the taste two fold. Just my suggestion. •Dragon Spiced Fried Rice The Fried Rice was good. The level of Spiciness was maintained neither too spicy nor too bland. The Chicken chunks were chopped into proper sizes. Any chinese gravy would go well with the rice.
Overall it was a superb experience! The food, the ambience, the staff, the vibes everything was just prefect! Do visit this...

SEATING ARRANGEMENT & SERVICE ( 4/ 5 ) FIrst thing first, locating this restaurant will be a task for some. Even though its located in the Orb but the entrace is right through the J.M. Mariott Gate no. 1. Its located at ground floor itself with vibrant lighting and the eye catching design. Ample of free space , so even if its packed still you get to enjoy. They have their special Cocktails thanks to the inhouse experiments. The same goes with the food. Special thanks to Attendee Mr Sadat & Mr. Chandan for providing us with great service and to Managers Mr harish & Mr Ashok for suggesting out the Signature dishes and Drinks.
We started with, Cocktails
ENTER THE DRAGON: ( 4 /5 ) This is the signature drink and probably one of the strongest drink. An unusual combination of Tequila, Vodka infused with homemade almond and raisin syrup , Orange juice, Avacado, Mango Yogurt and eggwhite. Served in a dragon fly shaped glass & it looks amazing. For some, the taste might be bland but the effect of the drink is at par. Highly recommended.
THE MONGOL: ( 4 /5 ) A vodka based drink with orange liqueur, spice honey syrup, with some nutmeg and orange zest along with fresh pears and orange.
GOKU: ( 4.5 /5 ) As the name, so as the drink. It has Gold tequila , Elderflower cordial , Lime juice, Grapefruit juice, Agave syrup, egg whites, grapefruit tonic along with grapefruit bitter. Fully loaded.

BACAON WRAPPED PRAWNS: ( 5 /5 ) Like the name suggest, the tiger prawns are wrapped with bacon and fried till crispiness. Served over Pink Pepercorn mayo and Dusted with wasabi. The mayo gives a mild tangy taste and goes well with the prawns.
BASIL CRUSHED FILLET OF FISH: ( 4.5 /5 ) Fillet of fish Smoked and placed over mustard Green & wasabi cream puree. Served with A salty pinch of wasabi sauce. Good to taste.
