My recent experience at this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone. The incident involved the housekeeping staff going through our belongings and stealing money during our five-day stay.
My husband and I checked into this place for about 5 days. On the last day of our stay we had to leave our rooms for work at 5am in the morning and returned at 5am the next morning. We had left our wallets in the room. On returning we found our suitcases that we had zipped up, open and our purses opened. 3,000 rupees was stolen from our wallet out of 8,000. We immediately reported this to the reception and were met with a delayed response. The management kept us waiting from 5am to 1pm with multiple people coming in and asking us about what happened and not giving us a resolution. They went on to give us a lacklustre apology like this was a normal occurence in the hotel. We spent the whole morning blocking our cards and speaking to the bank. We contacted the cops, who stated they would come to the location. After the GM met with us, the team stood in silence listening to our ordeal only to go on and state it was our word against their housekeeping's. We did not call for housekeeping, the hotel agreed that the housekeeping was in our room for about 20mins and justified that 20 mins was not a good enough time to rob money. This place is a scam. We spent close to a lakh to be met with this sort of a terrible experience. We went to the cops waited about only to find the management was already in speaking to them. The police told us that if the housekeeping would have to rob something, he would rob all of it and not such a small sum. They made us wait about. We missed our flight, our work took a backseat and the hotel kept us waiting and stated they would investigate the matter. They made no effort to state what their plan of action was, what were they going to do and kept repeating that we wanted to file a complaint and so we could go ahead. We were waiting from 5 am to 1pm terrified and angry. This extended wait time, coupled with another flight booking, forced us to abandon pursuing the matter, and all the establishment could offer was a mere apology.
Our overall experience was not only disappointing but also highlighted serious security concerns. Considering the substantial amount spent for our stay, encountering such a terrible situation is unacceptable. It’s shameful that I have to share about the theft that took placed in one of the rooms our team stayed in platforms like this, as no necessary action was taken by the management.
