Radisson Blu are always my ‘go to hotels’ worldwide. Coming from Agra which was the utmost incredible experience to this hotel all I can say is something is definitely not right here. Something is missing big time. And I just can’t put my finger on it.

After arriving to this hotel following a long journey traveling by cars and planes, I just wanted something to eat. So I decided to have a bite to eat in the Gallery Cafe. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were greeted by two staff members, maybe they just started their shift but I was really excited to have a nice relaxing meal and I just didn’t feel that warm welcome from them. But sure of course people are allowed to have their off days, absolutely. When we decided to eat here we asked could we sit on another table a bit further away from other people who were dining there also but unfortunately we were told ‘no that wouldn’t be possible’! So we just took any seat that was convenient. The server pulled the curtain as the sun was shining in our eyes and this was a nice gesture as we had not originally wanted that seat.

We were then asked what drinks we would like, and we ordered a sprite and a Diet Coke. The girl told us no problem and went to get our drinks. A few moments later we were greeted by another server telling us their was no Diet Coke only Pepsi and there was also no Sprite only 7up... Shouldn’t this have been told to us straight away when we first placed our order. A 7up was ordered and we didn’t get the Pepsi. In the meantime, I asked was the ice filtered and this question was overlooked 3 or 4 times; the server kept over lapping my question asking would I like lime in the glass. This server was just not listening to anything that was being said to him, so I asked one last time when he stopped overruling the conversation ‘is the ice filtered’ and I was then told that ‘yes it is’. Hooray!! After 5 minutes the question was answered. This incident put me off eating here altogether.

While I was sitting looking at the menu I noticed how grotty the drinking glasses looked. Uncleaned, unpolished and stained. This is my first time to ever experience this at a Radisson hotel. We asked for the bill as the 7up was more than enough and we had decided to go somewhere else to eat. However, upon paying for the bill the same waiter then returned and asked had we change as he did not have 70INR in notes, I told him I did not have small notes and he was very persistent asking us numerous times asking if we even had 30INR. We explained again and again we had no smaller change, due to this fuss that was made I went searching desperately in my wallet for change. I was disappointed with this service as I felt the server could have even gone to the reception area if needed and requested change if there was no change available in the restaurant. I felt very uneasy about this whole situation. I just found this very unusual and disappointing that he didn’t have change to give me in a four star restaurant. Also we literally sat down for 5 minutes and a 5% service charge was taken from the bill. Ludicrous to say the least. Money will never be an issue - I have no problem paying large service charges in excellent, exquisite restaurants were the service is exceptional, but not when I am provided with a low standard and poor service. Unfortunately I am left feeling...

I recently planned a visit to one of the most premium restaurants in Mumbai, with my sister for a good buffet dinner and I picked Gallery Cafe in MIDC Andheri for it. The experience I had was unparalleled and I loved every bit of my experience in there. I had a variety of dishes in there and it was extremely worth it. I'll walk you through the entire buffet and I could pick what was the best and what wasn't. So it was basically a Soup to dessert Buffet that I had. ▪︎ Soup Hot Tomato Soup was served with bread crumbs. ▪︎ Salad There were multiple salads available like, Pesto Pasta, Waldorf Salad, Pita Hummus and Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad. The Waldorf Salad was extremely amazing. It was basically a mixture of fruits in fresh cream. ▪︎ Starters • Kesari Paneer Tikka: Marinated Cottage Cheese cooked over a live flame and crisped and served. Amazing taste. • Corn Spinach Cheese Roll : The best starter served, this was a cheesy corn spinach roll served with spicy mayo. It was beyond excellent. Loved the texture, taste and the crisp. The spinach too, was in the correct quantity. Loved this one. • Cheese Balls The classic italian cheesy potato balls. ▪︎Mains • Rice There was an availability of Steam rice and Another excellent rice dish was the Subz Biryani. • Gravy We had two excellent dishes, subzis served. One was the classic Paneer Butter Masala where chunks of freshly sliced cottage cheese was cooked in a moderately spicy and creamy gravy. The other one was Vegetable Jalfrezi. Vegetable Jalfrezi was one of the best vegetable only vegetable gravys I've had. For real, it was the right amount of spice, right amount of butter and the perfect taste. • Indian Breads They served crispy butter Naans and Butter Chapatis. • Continental Availability of Zucchini Arrabiata and Singaporean Noodles were the additional non indian mains served. ▪︎Dessert • Pot de Cream Basically a chocolate mousse served in a cup with grated dark chocolate on it. • Gajar ka Halwa The classic Indian celebratory sweet. • Malai Sandwich It was a sweet malai basundi flavored sweetened sandwich. • Baked Yogurt Okay, this one was The Best dessert available at the outlet. It was just perfect. Baked Yogurt topped with cranberries and mangoes, this was really beyond perfect. Loved this so much! • Kala Jamun Another Classic Indian Sweet. • Coconut Barfi Amazing coconut barfi with grated coconut. • Mysore Pak The Best Indian sweet at Gallery cafe, this genuinely tasted like a better version of caramel. Loved this. Beyond excellent. ▪︎Mocktails • Sparkling Guava The premium mocktail available at Gallery, this was actually a top quality mocktail here. • Strawberry Delite Strawberry compote and sweet soda creates this magical Strawberry delite. • Summer Cooler Mango Based soft soda mocktail. • Strawberry Fizz Pure Strawberry Fizz mocktail. ▪︎Ice Cream There were three flavors of ice cream available at Gallery.

So this was my overall experience. I loved every bit of it and the service was pretty good. We were assisted by Mr. Aban who carefully helped us choose the best of the best. Loved the Ambience. Loved the food. Amazing time. Overall, It cannot be less than a 10/10 Highly...
