Hotel Karan Residency — Hotel in Punjab

We had done advance booking and made the full payment ,after reading the reviews of this hotel. I had booked another hotel initially but the reviews of this hotel Karan residency was better comparatively so cancelled the previous hotel booking, but I experience of the hotel was nightmarish, become of one Mr Gurpreet Singh, who gave us a horrible experience ever. From the time we reached hotel,he was outrightly rude and discourteous . The language was so dis respectful that I regretted cancelling my previous hotel booking. I think the reviews are either fake or paid reviews jus to fool people.. One of the experience was so bad that I am wondering how are they running hospitality industry !!! On Sunday night, I ordered for dinner ,room service at 10 pm, the food didn't arrive till 10:45 pm. When I called at the reception, to enquire, thos same Mr Gurpreet says that "I assumed that you people would have slept so I did not send it upstairs"!!! I said,why would we go to off to sleep when we have ordered the food ? He said , when I called on the room,there was no response. I said there was no call made , he said that I jus assumed that I would have gone to sleep. By the time the food was delivered, it had turn out to b totally cold. There were many such experiences about his language,attitude and service!!!! ||In my opinion , this Mr Gurpreet needs some serious hospitality lessons to deal with his guests. ||I would not recommend this hotel unless the attitude improves and maintaining the respect of your guests is learnt.||The rooms are jus OKAY !!! The hotel doesn't have their own restaurant. If you need hot water for drinking in kettle, since it was very very cold there ,they did not provide it. ||Please don't expect anything from this hotel. One of the worst hotel i ever see i booked it from agoda and all services are poor rooms bed sheets all are dirty no daily cleaning and if you include breakfast they only have 2 items and that is also not well cooked And staff is totally misbehaved ,even on the last day we told them we will checkout and just put our luggage in the waiting area and we will roam outside and take our luggage when we leave for station and when we get back we took luggage and they said to give 500 for late checkout even i have talked with hotel enquiry 1 day before that if we put our luggage there should not be any additional charges they said no.

Totally worst experience i will recommend to dnt waste money here atleast.

Reply to owner It was your miscommunication, we have already had a word with your night employee and he agreed that we will be there till 12pm and then we will collect the luggage by 3:00-4:00 pm which we have done and then you are asking for money, ridiculous.. and the review of the room is indeed true... go and check the room.. most sheets and pillow cover were dirty.. and in breakfast there was only 2 options which was not enough.. plz do mention in your description that u only have 2-3 options in breakfast and there was no toiletries, which was the basic necessity of hotel lines.. and you are claiming that your hotel is 3...

We booked 2 rooms for 2 days by paying advance of Rs. 4000/-, room 1 was not at all cleaned inspite of our repeated requests, for room 2 the AC was not working, we requested to change our rooms, but the same was denied and was told to speak to their bosses in morning. This is the worst hotel in Amritsar. I will never visit again this pathetic hotel. All are requested to see the photo of zero cooling AC at 16°C and the dirty floor of the rooms.

Update: While we were out of hotel, without our permission nor intimation, the room was opened and the leaking pipe of wash basin was repaired. However, the rooms were not cleaned at all. Though the location is close to the Golden Temple, the service, house keeping and maintenance pathetic. We paid for 2 days for AC rooms, when 1 AC was not working at all.
