It was a terrible first day in the city for us because of this hotel. The following are events of day 1 - We just reached Udaipur after hours of travelling and they didn't have our booking entry in their system. So they made us wait and call the customer care again and again. We were pissed off after an hour of doing this. The staff and customer care people keep arguing/fighting amoung themselves. It's irritating to watch it for an hour. They charged us 450rs for early check-in after all that inconvenience. The room was okay. Bathroom was neat. The bedsheet, towel and pillow cases were in bad condition. Stained and looked like they weren't washed for a long time. Water bottle, Soap / toiletries were not given. When asked, they sent the ones in the pic. They were used. And we asked for packaged water, they sent an unsealed water bottle. After sometime we were finally ready to go out and we noticed the lock was broken. Just a nudge and the door would open. The response we got was - " no one would go into the room, there are CCTVs everywhere. We do not have rooms right now. Please adjust ". The lock was repaired on the second day- evening. At some point in the afternoon (day 1) we returned to the room for an emergency bathroom situation. Electricity was gone. They do have power backup and so we asked them to turn it on. Our room was on the third floor. They refused. They said - "wait for 10 minutes, power will be back anyways". It was the most frustrating first day ever in our life in a new place. We really wanted to leave this hotel but we paid online at the time of booking and the amount was not refundable. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights.
The only good thing is the rooftop. The music, the food, drinks and ambiance is good. Live shows are...
Read moreAs we were on our unplanned road trip and were returning from Gujrat , wanted to make a night halt in Udaipur for 1 night . Being a high season there were no other options but Hotel Green View. We booked the hotel over phone and had requested for an early check in @ 6 a.m , However at that time Hotelier told only 1 room will be given out of 3 and by 10 o clock rest of the rooms will be provided , And we were okay with it . ||And now the nightmare starts - We arrive and there is no one to open the door , FInally we get in and we get 1 small dingy room with no working toilet , dim lights, soiled linen . and when we asked for extra mattress , the front office guy rudely denied of any commitment and said "you have to sleep like this - extra matress, pillow, cant be provided . Then comes the horror in the evening during the dinner ....Waiters working there seems to be the Stake holders of the hotel. . they wont even listen to the managers/Managing Director ( Ms Uma) - It so happened that literally they asked us to leave the restaurant as it was 11 :30 p.m as they need to sleep and they cant wait for us .||||The hotel over all is a strict no no ...Rooms are dingy, Service is slow , There is no communication between the staff and managers , One good thing is the location of the hotel very near to all the sightseeing places like the vintage car collection and the city palace ...||||Request all of you please do not even go to that hotel if they are giving you in free --- They dont have any culture of hospitaity &...
Read moreMy recent stay at this hotel in Udaipur was an incredibly frustrating experience. During a busy long weekend, when hotels were charging significantly inflated prices, I had a confirmed booking through Cleartrip. Upon arrival, however, the manager denied us a room, citing a change in management. This left my family and me stranded and exhausted after a long journey, forcing us to spend a stressful hour and a half making calls and trying to find a solution.
Eventually, we were pressured into an offline booking for a room that was a complete letdown. For a steep price of ₹5,000 per night, we were given what I can only describe as a very basic, unkempt, and unhygienic room—likely the worst one available.
This hotel's practice of denying confirmed bookings and then forcing guests into substandard rooms at inflated prices is unacceptable and feels like a scam. It's a truly terrible feeling to arrive at your destination with your family, only to be denied check-in and left to deal with such a messy situation.
Despite its prime location, I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. The staff's behavior and the quality of the accommodation were both pathetic, making this the most ridiculous hotel experience I...
