Jaisalmer, also known as the "Golden City," is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan, India. One of the must-do activities while visiting Jaisalmer is the desert safari, which takes you on an adventurous journey through the Thar Desert. I had the opportunity to experience the desert safari and stay in Jaisalmer, and it was a memorable experience.

The desert safari started with a pick-up from my hotel in Jaisalmer. I was driven to the desert where I met my guide and got on a camel. Riding on the camel was an incredible experience, and the view of the vast sand dunes was breathtaking. We stopped at a few places to take pictures and witness the beautiful sunset.

After the sunset, we continued our journey to the campsite, where we were welcomed with traditional Rajasthani music and dance performances. The campsite was set up in the middle of the desert, and it was a perfect place to stargaze. The dinner was delicious, and I enjoyed the local Rajasthani cuisine.

The campsite had comfortable tents with all the necessary amenities. The tent was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I had a peaceful night's sleep.

The next morning, we went on a jeep safari, which was equally thrilling. The jeep safari took us through the sand dunes, and the view was stunning. We also visited a few nearby villages and witnessed the local way of life.

Overall, my experience of the desert safari and stay in Jaisalmer was fantastic. The service provided by the tour company was excellent, and they took care of all our needs. What an experience. One of the high light of my trip to India. the entire team who was with us was wonderful. Sumer, the owner, really want to make your experience memorable and will go out of his way to help you ( transport, hotel, local restaurant, what to see in Jayselmer) Aby the guide, is wonderful. I've originally book a one day trip in the desert but i have extended it for a 2 nights and it was worth it !!

I can't compare with the other group who offer similar experience but with Real Desert Man Camel Safari, you will have a great adventure.

Don't forget sunscreen, light long clothes ( pants and shirt) and a scarf for the ladies

The adventure : We have started with a Jeep ride to an abandoned village where we spend couple minutes there before making our way to the desert to meet our guide Aby and our camels. we ride for about 1 h to arrive to a little camp area in the middle of nowhere where Nepal and Jeetu was waiting for us with some food. we watch the sunset, enjoy great company around a fire and to finish in our bed under the stars !! ( it is cold in the desert so if you are a person who get cold easily, bring an extra sweater but they do have thick blankets for the night. )

After having Chai and breakfast, we went for a 2h camel ride to Aby's little traditional village in the desert and we his family. we get going for an other hour beofre reaching a quiet place for lunch. Aby show us how to do Chapati. the took a nap and explore the surrounding before making our way to the camp ground where we will enjoy a diner with a traditional dance and music performance from local artists.

After a night in the traditional tent, they serve us breakfast and brought us back to the real Desert...
