I ordered Mr. & Mrs. Momiza and Pink sauce pasta, both the dishes were really good.

Mr. Ashish Joshi the owner of Fredy Foods is a local of Jaisalmer and comes accross as a humble, sweet and calm individual. But all this isn't by accident, let me tell you about his story, I did take his permission before sharing this.

He passed out of IHM (Indian Institute of Hotel Management) Kolkata in 2009 and worked for giants like McDonald's, SubWay, etc. He is a chef himself and the receipe of every item in his menu is made by him. He was Quality Auditor in his last assignment with SubWay, as a result of which, you'll see QUALITY in everything Fredy Foods has to offer.

For example, unlike his 'copy cat competitors' in Jaisalmer, he buys some of the raw materials from Jaipur and Jodhpur from the same vendors who also supply to Dominos and other giants.

I had to write these details in the review as it's so inspiring to see a first generation entrepreneur build a quality and customer centric business. Hats off to Ashish.

He started with a small food stall by the road in Jaisalmer, then the Jodhpur outlet in 2016 and Jaisalmer outlet in 2018, survived COVID in tourism driven cities of Jodhpur & Jaisalmer and is servig lip smacking quality food to his customers in 2022. I was lucky to chance upon this little eatery, tucked into a "not so easy to spot entrance" leading to a basement. Quite close to the fort. I was hungry as I didnt have had a proper breakfast, and it wad well past lunchtime. So I gorged upon a 6 inch veg extravaganza pizza, two slices of garlic bread and a 6 inch multigrain veggie delight sandwich. Each items was excellent in taste. The ingredients too seemed top notch. In fact the taste beats the likes of pizza hut. I am from Delhi and like to have pizza off and on, mostly from Pizza hut, so I can say the above with confidence. While conversing with the owner Ashish, he told me thay he is from IHM Kolkata and also has been a store manager at McDonalfs in Delhi earlier. His credentials and his experience shows. I was not all expecting this quality of pizza in Jaisalmer, of all the places.

In fact I had another meal at his outlet just before I left Jaisalmer, two days later. Impressed second time, was I.

I will strongly recommend you to have a meal there. You will surely come as impressed as I am. And if you are with kids, this place is simply not to be missed...
