We lived at Poppys Anukula Residency for 40 days. Yes we literally lived there as it was our second home.
We had gone to Vellore for a treatment at CMC and had to stay for a long duration. We booked ourselves at Poppys Anukula Residency for the first few days with apprehensions of how it would turn out to be. But we continued there for 40 days without thinking twice about going somewhere else
About 1.5 km away from CMC. it provides a quiet and peaceful place to stay - far away from the maddening crowd around CMC. An extremely neat and tidy property - hygiene and cleanliness is of paramount importance and this hotel scores a perfect 10 out of 10
Speaking of support - starting with the call for breakfast in the morning, to the query about your dinner, and taking care of your each and every requirement. The staff will accommodate and take care of your minutest requirement and make sure you are comfortable. An extremely friendly set of people who will make you feel happy and cared for.
More than the physical comfort and safety of big, clean and tidy rooms, well cleaned and well lit corridors, lifts, stairs, parking, restaurant, lobby etc. what mattered most was the warmth and mental comfort and support we got from Mr Leo, Mr Subhas and the entire hotel staff.
We want to thank each of the staff at Poppy's Anukula for making our stay memorable and comfortable during these unprecedented times. We look forward to staying there again during...
Read moreI wish to report my terrible experience with Poppy’s,Vellore on 17th April.I had booked at this Hotel with my family through cleartrip almost 2 months ago and i got a confirmed booking for a suite room on 17th April. On arrival at 2.15pm,I was informed that the room has not been vacated by the previous guest and that I would need to wait till 3 pm.As I have stayed in this Hotel few times before,I obliged and then again at 3 pm when I enquired,I was told the room is been cleaned and it would take another 15 minutes. At 3.30pm,I was informed by the general manager that the suite room cannot be provided as the previous guest has not vacated and on humanitarian grounds,he cannot vacate them which I found was very vague and absurd as I have not heard of this happening in any decent Hotels anywhere. He said he can either refund or book me into another Hotel in a rude manner.I have stayed at this Hotel several times before and infact I had stayed there on 14th April also and I had informed them that I would be coming back again on 17th April by lunch time.At any cost I plan to take this up legally and also i would never again take a risk of booking into Poppys group of Hotels due to the attitude and behavior of the GM and definitely not recommend to anyone .It is such a shame that the GM of this property has brought disgrace to the...
Read moreI never stayed being a local but a frequent customer of the restaurant, especially for seafood. Earlier I made a complaint regarding worst behaviour of staff. Thanks to the management for their wonderful response and a tremendous change in the behaviour and service. However, yesterday my dinner was a worst experience in my life. I had ordered fish gravy after I was made sure that Vanjaram fish would be served. I got the dish very late compared to other items. I found that it was not Vanjaram. When I checked the pieces in the gravy I found two types of fish were mixed up. One seemed to be Basha fish. But the second one was not tasting like fish. It had a rubbery thick outer cover and inside was some hard mass. It was round cross section pieces all of same size. When I put all the pieces together, I got a shock of my life. It was exactly like a small snake, might be non poisonous but a snake is a snake. Although the item was cancelled and I was not charged for that, but I felt like vomiting and could not sleep due to the shock. I am sure the Chef is either a crooked fellow or mental case. The kitchen needs a raid to...
