Zufruita Multi Cuisine Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This is one of the best restaurants for common man and a family wanting to order food in a decent price range. The chicken wings are quite big and 5 in number for a good price. Its quite tasty with enough spice. The biryani was flavorless and the raita was watery. Had to use curd from outside to make it tasty.The hotel looks good from the outside. Even the staff is very kind and helpful. Visited this place on 23/10/2020 I have reduced a star from the last time. Want to make a remark on the hygiene of the shawarma that is being served. The shawarma is located on the outside part of the restaurant and this is kept in the open without any covering box. This means the polluted road can make a difference in the taste too. The staff who came to make the shawarma was not seen sterilizing or washing his hands( he could have done it inside) however he wiped his pant which looked dirty before making the shawarma with the same hand. He picked up fallen chicken pieces even from the table to complete the shawarma. Though the shop said food was halal the hygiene wasn't very halal and was a disappointment. The taste of that shawarma was still mind blowing. I have to give credit for that too. However being a doctor I would prefer hygiene over taste. Zufruita used to be one of my go-to spots due to its affordable prices and great quality, but my recent visit left me with a drastically different impression. The experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Despite there being hardly any other customers, it took a full 15 minutes before anyone even approached our table to take our order. I tried multiple times to catch the staff’s attention, but it felt like we were invisible.

When someone finally came over and took our order, it took another 15 minutes for the food to arrive—and the wait wasn’t worth it. The chicken we ordered was fried in what tasted like old, overused oil, giving it a burnt flavor that was tough to eat. The peri-peri fries were another letdown; they were clearly taken straight from the refrigerator and tossed into the fryer without care, resulting in a first bite that was strangely cold and unappetizing.

What shocked me the most was the lack of respect and basic hospitality. When I mentioned our concerns to the staff, they simply laughed it off, showing no intention to address or even acknowledge the feedback. This lack of customer service, coupled with the poor food quality, left a sour taste and was far from the Zufruita experience I remembered. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this place for dining. Viewing the reviews on Google maps we were very much impressed with the restaurant and food. We had booked a table for 7 for lunch. I was sceptical about the atmosphere of the restaurant even looking it from the outside and when we arrived the table wasn't ready. We were asked to wait. The restaurant was crowded and the place has absolutely no ventilation and it had a very unpleasant odor in the air. We finally canceled reservations and came out looking for some other place. We did not taste the food but the atmosphere itself was very unpleasant. I have been using Google maps reviews since 2013 to decide on the restaurants in new places. The ratings and reviews usually don't disappoint me but this was a total disappointment with regard to the atmosphere, cleanliness and the ambiance

I just write reviews so that it’s easy and helpful for the community.
