A Nightmare - O Jayam Residency: Beware of These Scammers! My recent experience at O Jayam Residency was nothing short of a complete disaster, turning what should have been a straightforward hotel stay into a stressful and infuriating ordeal. I am compelled to share my experience as a stark warning to anyone considering booking this property – beware of these scammers! The trouble began right at the reception. Despite having made a full, non-refundable payment through the OYO app, I was inexplicably denied entry. The reception staff wanted more than 2 X the money .This was despite me having a confirmed booking and proof of full payment readily available on my phone. Frustrated and confused, I immediately contacted OYO customer care through their app. To their credit, OYO support was responsive and tried to resolve the issue. In an unbelievable turn of events, OYO even transferred an additional amount of money to the hotel right in front of me, seemingly to appease the management and secure my room. I witnessed the transaction go through, with the funds being credited to O Jayam Residency. However, even with this additional payment confirmed, the reception staff remained obstinate. They continued to deny me entry shamelessly asking for more money . This blatant disregard for a confirmed booking and the subsequent payment was shocking and utterly unprofessional. As a direct consequence of their inexplicable actions, I was kept waiting for a staggering one hour. After a long journey, all I wanted was to check in and freshen up, but instead, I was met with resistance and deceit. My entire schedule was thrown off, and I was forced to have lunch at an incredibly late 5 PM, adding physical discomfort to the already stressful situation. The audacity of the O Jayam Residency management didn't end there. When the OYO regional manager intervened and personally called the hotel, these individuals shamelessly lied, claiming that there were no rooms available. This was a blatant falsehood, especially considering the initial booking, the full payment, and the additional funds transferred by OYO. Their insistence on denying me a room, despite all evidence to the contrary, strongly suggests a deliberate attempt to defraud customers. Thankfully, OYO customer care continued to be helpful amidst this chaos. Recognizing the unacceptable behavior of O Jayam Residency, they promptly allotted me a different OYO property with zero extra charges. This swift action by OYO salvaged the situation and prevented further inconvenience. However, the experience at O Jayam Residency left a sour taste and a strong sense of having been targeted by dishonest individuals. The blatant denial of a confirmed and paid booking, the lies told to the OYO regional manager, and the sheer waste of my time are inexcusable. I booked this room over the Oyo application for 850rs arround. When I reached the hotel the receptionist asked extra money. He showed that AC room is 2000rs and without AC 1200-1400rs. He said there is no AC room Available at the moment.
He mentioned if you are booking through Oyo you have to pay 2k for AC room and same time another guy(customer)came and receptionist gave AC room for 1500rs
Then I took non AC room and payed extra 700rs(Oyo + extra = total 1600 around). He mentioned that there was an AC attached in the room so price will 1600rs instead of 1200rs 😂😂😂 but we should not use AC. I don't know really why, he is not suitable for that job . He don't know how to handle the peoples. I asked bedsheet he said we have only one and he gave that 🤷🤷. And it was smelly
When I went to the room the room was really smells like anything. There is no TV,wifi, bedsheet, towel, water heater and very dark
I raised complaint through oyo customer care. They asked receipt for proof of the payment which i paid
Receptionist not giving receipt and he said if we are booking through Oyo they won't give receipt for extra pay
I have shared my online payment proof and extra payment was refunded(after 48 hrs). If anyone facing the same issue just share the online payment proof and before that request receipt to the receptionist
Receptionist called me(not through the phone. there is no telephone also to connect reception)and said that night. If Oyo refunding the money we have to pay refunded amount to the property 😂. This guy is enough to make this hotel business to push down
I don't how they are providing worst rooms to the peoples without any guilty feeling . We should not stay these kind of dirt room . We may get infected. Better management can check all the rooms first (especially room no 105) then receptionist

The room was dirty and everything looked old and we soon found animal droppings in the AC unit. My partner has respiratory problems so we went downstairs and informed the front desk receptionist who called in a man. He did not introduce himself and asked us what the problem was so we told him about the animal droppings. He laughed in our faces so we showed him the pictures on our camera. He still laughed so we insisted he come up and see for himself. I asked him who he was and he said he was the owner. We were shocked by his lack of professionalism and bad attitude towards an important matter such as hygiene and safety. When he saw the droppings for himself he offered us a refund of only 50% of our trip but said that there were no other rooms available. Only when we claimed we would leave a negative review did he offer to refund us all of our money and we quickly left and stayed at the ‘Holiday Inn’ in Vero Beach instead (which we highly recommend!) This establishment is disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed to trade as a hotel. PLEASE do not stay here for the following reasons: – The owner threatened us and said that he would take money from our accounts if we wrote a bad review. Lets just see if he’s true to his word… – The rooms were dirty and the bed sheets had stains on them – Our room smelt of raw sewage and our toilet didn’t work – There was no hot water and the bath taps fell off – Oh, and I caught impetigo which for those of you that don’t know is a bacterial infection caused by poor hygiene.
I am ashamed that we stayed here and embarrassed that we blessed the owner with any of our hard earned money. PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE...
