This is an update from our visit here from 23-25 December 2024. For verification, we were in room 302.
It was great to see Ms. Shivani again and her smile that will light up any room.
However sweet smiles were not enough to counter the disappointment we felt with the deterioration in the quality of the hotel.
First up was the single elevator being not in service. For old people and for travellers with luggage, this was not great. Great that the hotel has young porters to help but I do not think it was an ideal solution. Today, even as we are checking out, the lift was still not fixed.
Second, I mentioned that our previous bathroom could have used a good scrub and though that was in a different room, one year ago it continues to apply to the room we were given and probably more so.
Third was the inconsistent water pressure. It could be great for a couple of minutes and be reduced to a trickle which would last for up to 10-15 mins.
Bedzz has a good product and a great location but it really needs to be more alert to the needs of its customers and step up.
You will lose loyal customers in the long run. We arrived October 27 and checked out just now on October 31.
To start, the hotel was difficult to find but when we finally reached it we were pleasantly surprised by the bright colours, gorgeous paintings by a Delhi based artist and the general layout of the hotel. Please ignore the messy and disorganised ground floor as it doesn't belong to the hotel.
The staff especially Ms. Shivani were polite and obliging when I needed filtered water and access to the Internet.
The room of its class was clean by Indian standards with a firm and comfortable King Koil mattress to boot. The bathroom, however, could do with a good scrubbing and repairs of minor fixtures like the towel rack, bidet, toilet seat and cover and soap dispenser. Otherwise it was adequate with good water pressure.
The restaurant on the third floor was lovely with exceptionally friendly staff. The food was good too, including the breakfast that came with the room. Kudos to the team there.
As for the internet... The access works on the basis that you need to have an Indian mobile number for the access OTP to be sent to. Doesn't really make sense in the age of data only mobile plans etc. I had to trouble the lovely Ms. Shivani several times just to help me get access. I hope they'll fix this issue soon. It was an annoyance as internet access is an important utility for most of us.
I would recommend that guests bring earplugs as the street noise from around 5.00am to around midnight can be quite bothersome. Request for rooms away from the lift as that's the closest to the street.
Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend the hotel primarily for it's convenient location and...

I recently had the misfortune of booking a stay at Bedzzz Hotel, Varanasi, for the night of October 14th via Goibibo. Due to my flight being cancelled, I had to rebook for October 13th, extending my stay to two nights. Considering the situation, I requested Goibibo to amend my booking to include the extra night. They reached out to Leisure Hotels to check availability, only to inform me that the hotel was "fully booked" and could not accommodate my request. Instead, they shockingly suggested I stay in a female dormitory with my 76-year-old mother. How could anyone in hospitality even suggest this as a viable solution?
When I then requested to cancel the booking, as clearly no reasonable options were being offered, Goibibo informed me that the hotel’s approval was needed. However, when I reached out to the hotel's reservation manager, Mohd. Zubair, he simply passed the buck back to Goibibo, refusing to approve the cancellation. Despite Goibibo reportedly sending three emails to Leisure Hotels, Zubair blatantly refused to help.
It is truly appalling how Leisure Hotels handled this situation. Rather than showing any understanding or flexibility for a customer in an unforeseen situation, they hid behind rigid policies, prioritizing their profit over basic customer service. Leisure Hotels’ treatment of customers is nothing short of harassment. For a brand supposedly focused on hospitality, they have failed miserably.
I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay at Leisure Hotels to think twice. Their complete lack of empathy and unprofessional management makes for a truly pathetic experience. Don't expect any support if you find yourself in a tight spot; they will happily leave you stranded.

One standout dish that left a lasting impression was the Pan-Seared Sea Bass. The delicate fish was cooked to perfection, boasting a crispy skin that gave way to moist and flaky flesh. The accompanying citrus-infused sauce added a refreshing zing, elevating the flavors to new heights.
