EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING STAY AT CAPTAIN VILLA VARANASI

The rooms on the upper floor is still incomplete in terms of all interior work. The room should have been properly inspected before making us the scapegoat as the first guest in that room. The bathroom floor is improperly sealed at the door. During and after bath, water is seeping into the room. The wash basin tap fitting is faulty. Water is seeping from the back side of the tap and flooding the floor. The verandah is unclean and has been used as a dumpyard of garbage. Even after repeated requests, it was not cleaned. THE FLOOR AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE DOOR IS INCOMPLETE AND DISGUISED WITH A GRASS MAT. I HURT MYSELF AND BROKE MY TOE FINGER. Interior work is going on in the adjacent room. Huge dust and sound. I had to step out and request to stop hard thumping of hammer at 1am in the morning!!! Our room was not cleaned at all for the last 3 days. On pointing that out, it was cleaned and tea, coffee was replenished on Thursday but no cleaning at all on Saturday and Sunday.

I leave your property with an extreme bad taste in the mouth. HORRIBLE...

Avoid this hotel at all costs – complete scam!

We had a terrible experience here. The hotel took our money upfront (₹5000) the moment we arrived, and when we refused to stay after seeing the condition, they rudely denied refunding it. The manager was extremely unprofessional and even shouted at us when we tried to explain.

The property itself is in a very shady and unsafe location – nearly 2 km walk from the main road through a dirty route. We were a group of girls, and it felt highly unsafe. On top of that, there were no other guests in the hotel, which made it feel even more suspicious.

The rooms were a huge disappointment – tiny, dirty, and nothing like what was promised. There was no Ganga view as advertised, only false claims to lure customers. It is completely unethical that they force guests to pay in full before even seeing the rooms. No decent hotel does this – normally payment is at checkout.

The way they scammed us of ₹5000, behaved rudely, and refused a refund is absolutely unacceptable. The owner/manager is arrogant and untrustworthy. Please do not waste your money or risk your safety by...

Our experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory. We booked two Captain Villa Queen Rooms and one King Room but received a mix of rooms, including a much smaller double bed room, which would have been better suited for a king single. Dinner was promised within 25 minutes but arrived cold and soggy over an hour later. Additionally, one room ran out of toilet paper on the first night, and we were told none was available until the next morning, which is unacceptable. The hotel also fell short of our expectations due to ongoing construction noise that made it impossible to sleep, despite our complaints. On the second day, the air conditioning in one room stopped working, damaging our chargers, and we faced water issues on the third day with no running water.
