Our stay at this hotel in Varanasi was an absolute delight from start to finish. The warm reception upon arrival set the tone for a truly pleasant experience. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the breathtaking view of the Ganges from our room. Waking up to the tranquil sight of the river flowing gently was a serene way to start each day.
The room itself was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. The attention to detail was evident, ensuring a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or queries, making us feel right at home.
The hotel's location was ideal for exploring Varanasi, allowing easy access to the city's attractions while providing a peaceful haven away from the bustling streets. The view of the Ganges from the hotel's common areas, including the restaurant, added an extra layer of charm to our dining experiences.
We particularly enjoyed spending evenings savoring delicious meals while gazing at the mesmerizing view of the Ganges. The ambiance was soothing, creating a perfect backdrop for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.
The staff's dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for guests truly stood out, enhancing our time at the hotel.

Read moreBackpackers Park is a relatively new hostel located in the heart of Varanasi, near the Kedar Ghat
THE POSITIVES - (1) you get a good view of the River Ganga and its many Ghats, from the terrace of the hostel (2) the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean (3) I had the room to myself so it felt like a luxury after being on the road for a while
THE NEGATIVES - (1) it's pretty hard to find even with Google maps unless you have a good landmark like the Kedar Ghat as reference (2) Staff seems completely disinterested and have little knowledge about anything in the area (3) the check-in guy barely understands English - God help international travellers!! (4) after over 6 months in operation they don't have room numbers up on doors and it's easy to get lost between floors (5) it is definitely not a backpacker hostel as I seemed to be the only guest in the entire 53 bed facility... On the good side I had an AC room to myself for Rs 299
JOKE OF THE DAY: when I asked the check-in guy what was the WiFi password, he said "I don't know", which got me a bit annoyed. Irony is the WiFi password actually IS "I don't know".... Pretty much summarizes their attitude
THE VERDICT: You are better off staying in an established hostel chain like Moustache or Zostel, than experiment with hostels who have no clue what they are doing
MY RATINGS - Location (6/10), Ease of Check-in (2/ 10), Staff helpfulness (2/10), Room Cleanliness (10/10), Washroom Cleanliness (10/10), Security arrangements (9/10), Facilities (2/10), Value for money (8/10), Accuracy with online...
Read moreBackpackers Park is an amazing place to stay in Varanasi and recommended to backpackers that want to enter into contact with the locals. We came here to stay one day and we ended up staying four. We tried both the shared room and the private room. Both are very nice and clean, affordable and comfortable. The hostel is clean and they have a rooftop where you can chill, relax and see monkeys wandering around the rooftops of Varanasi. The most amazing thing of this hostel is the staff. The owners and the staff are extremely nice and welcoming. They have invited us to the wedding of their nephew, where we had an amazing experience, to their restaurant: Mr Jalapeños, where the food was so good! And showed us the university complex with motorbikes at night. Spending time with them was really nice as well as learning about their culture. Before coming to India a friend told me, “you cannot come back home from India without having seen Varanasi”. He was right and the backpacker park hostel made the whole...
