I had booked Kasha Homestay two weeks in advance by paying them an advance amount. The booking was handled by a lady named Kushi, who initially spoke very politely while taking the money. Unfortunately, due to a medical emergency with my father, I had to cancel my travel plans and even my flights to Varanasi.
I informed Kasha Homestay 10 days before the check-in date and requested a refund of my advance. To my shock, the response I received was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of showing basic courtesy and understanding, she started quoting rules and flatly denied returning my money.
It is shameful and disappointing that in a spiritual place like Varanasi, such businesses choose to loot customers under the guise of “rules” rather than showing empathy. The contrast in behavior was very clear – overly sweet while taking the booking, but disrespectful and arrogant once I asked for a refund.
This is not just about the money; it is about the way a paying guest is treated. Such unprofessional and insensitive behavior is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.

Read moreKasha home stay, very sorry to say that I couldn't feel any homely feeling. We stayed 2 nights. There was no supporting stuff after 8pm. If you feel any kind of need no one comes forward to help , after so many calls they complete our needs. Infact they didn't provide water bottles for each day. 1st day two small water bottles we had found in the room but next they didn't provide, it was really un professional service. We were going for Kashi Vishwanath darshan very early morning and visited others site like Sarnath all day long. So, our room was not cleared. Just for humanity , they didn't keep a bottle of water outside of the room. Every hotels , home stay has bunch of plus and minus point that we know but this home stay gave me those kind of experience which are really un expected, that's why I Can't share the good point of Kasha home stay. If you wish to book this home stay,, please clear your all...
Read moreWhen I arrived at Kasha Homestay I was already a few hours extremely unwell because of food poisoning. As a solo female traveller I felt so miserable and helpless. I was so happy to be welcomed in the guesthouse with such great care and support from both the owners. Their presence was such a great relief since they were there to help me with providing medicine, food and advice during my stay. I am very thankful for their sincere concern about my wellbeing when I felt at my lowest in a new city where I didn’t know anyone.
The guesthouse is located in a peaceful and pleasant area which felt as a safe environment, and with all necessary utilities nearby. The property is well maintained, clean and very cosy (with the most comfortable bed I slept in a while!). All this created an oasis of tranquility for me to recover. Needless to say that I fully recommend...
