Mangla Paying Guest House — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

My family of three including our 11 year old daughter stayed at this fabulous guest house for an entire week. We were welcomed by Amy and Rahul with big smiles and a clean facility. Prior we had a excellent communication with Amy (she is an expat from the US living here for 8 years); she arranged our transportation from the airport and Rahul met us at the meeting spot to help us navigate through the walk streets to get to their place. ||Their place is simple and meets the needs of Western and Eastern travelers alike. The rooms are nicely decorated, most have A/C and some have ensuite bathrooms. The communal area is the lobby space which is decorated colorfully and open. ||We came for both business and pleasure and the wifi worked spot on making our Zoom calls stream without a problem. ||Upstairs there is a NGO that runs a school during the week, Mon-Saturday so there is a healthy buzz of happy children. Our family stayed in Goa when my eldest was a baby and we met so many amazing friends during our stay that we decided to come back for a visit. Many friends had dispersed and this time we found ourselves in Varanasi. Rahul was so kind to our girls and Amy was incredibly welcoming. We had a great time staying with them and the location couldn't have been better--it was so close to all the action! Shops and restaurants were plentiful and in close proximity with the Ganga only a 2 minute walk away. This guesthouse is now manage by new owners and we had the chance to be their first guests! Our room was spacious, well decorated with fresh painting, clean and the matress was soft. We really appreciated the fact that we had a small heater in the room to keep us warm. Hands soap, toilet paper and towels were also provided. They were still working on the wifi connection and hot water running. The location of this guesthouse is perfect; just a few minutes walk from the Ganges.
