Room We travelled from London and stayed there for 3 nights. When booked on-line, there is always some degree of anxiety if the room interior would be the same as shown in the advertisement photos or not, however, with Raghav-Vilas, it was indeed the same. The room was quite modern looking with beautiful interior and the facilities which easily match a 3 star hotel. The layout is compact and efficiently designed. One may find it little inconvenient to open a big bag but it is very much possible to do so. We were served with 2 complimentary water bottles. A stainless steel kettle with everything you need to prepare hot drinks allowed us to relax after tiring days. The bathroom is very clean with western style commod, overhead shower facility and has installed geyser for hot water.

Hospitality Mr Raj Chaurasia's hospitality is simply outstanding. He was always willing to go an extra mile to help us, even when our requests were not necessarily room related. He was genuinely willing to serve us to ensure we had a sweet memorable stay with them. For information, they also have a modern 2 bed apartment with kitchen for short stays.

Location Raghav-Vilas is about 20 minutes walkable distance from sacred Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. En-route there are good choice of restaurants. The Varanasi is one of the oldest continuously habited city and hence there is hustle and bustle until midnight and also during early morning. Some sound of these outside activities can be heard inside the room.

We stayed at Raghav Vilas for 2 days and had an absolutely delightful experience. One of the biggest perks of this property is its proximity to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple – just a short walk of about 900 meters. This allowed us to reach the temple early in the morning and complete darshan peacefully, without having to wait in long queues.

The hotel itself exceeded expectations. The rooms were airy, neat, and very well-kept, with washrooms maintained to high standards of hygiene. The calm atmosphere inside the property was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.

The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive and always ready to assist with even the smallest request. What added a personal touch to our stay was the owner’s warm and welcoming nature. Since we were new to the city and eager to explore as much as possible in two days, he patiently guided us with recommendations on places to visit and answered all our questions with genuine care.
