Day 1; I have just checked in the hotel yesterday. The most simple thing is priceless here. Everytime you ask for water they give you 2 bottles of 1/2 litre for 2 pax. Today morning at 10:30 I asked the gentlemen at reception to send at least 4-5 litres of water for whole day. Again I reminded at 11:30. But till now, it is 12:45, no response. I think I will have to go and collect or buy from outside.
I am staying here for 3 more days so I will give a full review after that.
Day 2: Same problem persists. For any kind of service you have to chase and remind 2-3 times.
Day 3: Pathetic room service. You need to request 2-3 times for any service. Today they reduced the water bottle from 4 to 2 bottles. Conservation of water in plastic bottles??
Since last 3 days the breakfast menu is almost same. Though time is from 7 to 10:30 am. But most of the containers are empty @10 am without any replenishment unless you ask for it. I will add pics 2moro.

Read moreRooms were quite big and spacious. Linens were good and nicely kept. Toilet and bathroom was good as well. But you don't have a great view from the window.
WiFi was good as well (you might need to ask the coupon code for connection)
Nice location too. Hazratganj metro is walkable and from there you can reach airport. Lucknow Junction is also near. (Not walkable though) Hotel ambience was good.
Couple of things they can look to improve - Response to any service especially related to the TV took a lot of time. I called the service person for checking the TV and it took a lot of time to come and fix it.
Also shower tap was broken and could not be easily used. It would be good if they look at all the fitments as they complete the checkout process / clean the room and keep it ready for the next usage.

Read moreAwadh India recently turned Regenta. Service and redressal of problems was pathetic at all levels. My sons asked for a room with a tub which was denied because we had not booked it. Being Diwali night in total there were 8 customers, 3 of us included. No greetings. The tables were wobbling. Mosquitoes in the room. The extra bed kept folding. No information about the breakfast buffet being scrapped due to low occupancy. From Mr. Nauman to Mr. Sharad no one addressed the issue. I asked for a refund of my breakfast buffet which I had paid for, after that there is silence They could have made customers happy with a room upgrade for a night since they " Downgraded " Our breakfast.
The snack dishes lay outside our room for over 16 hours.
We booked hoping Royal Orchid hotel, atleast service will be good. Alas.... Major...
