The property is not well maintained. We booked two AC rooms but one AC was not working. The furnitures like almirah and sofa dirty and full of dust. Food is pathetic. Rooms don't have an AC remote and they sent one after so many requests. The lady in reception was a bit rude and you have to really convince her to get any help or service. We have been allotted room no. 101 and 105 on the first floor while the property has at least 5 floors. We requested for higher level floors which she didn't entertain. We booked Super Deluxe rooms to get the maximum facility and comfort but in reality received very poorly maintained rooms with dust and spots on walls with very bad service. Even we were not told that the breakfast is complementary and we freaked out and paid from our pocket to have breakfast.
To add more pain to our suffering, in room no. 101 no electric kettle or tea bags were given, water droplets falling from the room#101 toilet ceiling, one tubelight was dead and AC was dead in room#105. People were just careless and ignorant about the malfunctioning and can only suggest you to change the room to a dirtier and unmaintained room.
We checked out yesterday...
Read moreFirst of all with UP trying to steal the thunder from other states, it's Tourism has to learn more from the other state tourism departments. The hotel Gomti, situated at the state capital in a posh area is managed by staff that are too 'sarkari karmachari' like nature. Unsuitable for hospitality industry. The bath section is not separated, so, water goes around the whole bathroom. The room service might be fast but they are 'kanjus' on crockery and accessories like salt, salad, plus very very costly. The bookings are not given priority, but walk-ins are. They are casual about taking down the car numbers, so that when you need to move a car, they are clueless about the owner. What if someone kept a bomb in a car and went off? There's complimentary breakfast for only two, even if you are paying for an extra person. I would suggest that UPTDC officials should move around the country a little bit and visit state tourism properties like in WB, Kumayun, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, to have an idea how to provide value for money service...
Read moreI have been visiting this hotel from quite some time for quick and cheap drinks. This hotel and room, restaurants and bar. Not an upscale place but it's good for lads who want to enjoy cheap drinks and clean and hygienic place to enjoy few drinks. Has ample parking space and guards will help you in quick parking and lead you to restaurants. It's a government place hence do not expect everything to be in order but I must say that it has all things which you would need for few drinks. They even have open lawn where you can sit and enjoy drinks and food. The staff is always there and will promptly serve you take your order and help you with whatever they have at their disposal.
Food is 👌 I mean being in Lucknow you would not get Dastarkhwan or Tundey style food at this place but surely will be enough for your belly and to...
