Hotel Aarti Darshan — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Right next to har-ki-Powri, it’s the only hotel with Ganga Arti view. Conveniently close to the ghat. Hotel rooms are big with shared balcony from where you can have the ghat view. Building is old and dilapidated but the rooms & beds are ok. Guess it may have been a Dharamshala upgraded to hotel. Bathroom is just okay with geyser. Has a lift for two that doesn’t work during power outages (in fact, nothing works in your room including lights during outages). Stairs are very old with high steps (aged and people with knee issues shouldn’t try). It has a restaurant at the entrance that serves everything from rotis to bhaturas. Cars are available on call. Overall a perfectly located hotel that badly needs some renovation of common areas and stairs. Old metal almirahs and a centre table inside room looks like they from Independence Days and rooms would have been better without them. Don’t look for luxury but basics are in place. No WiFi but you’ve TV in the room. You may get soiled used towels and bed sheets but will be promptly replaced with fresh should you ask a couple or more times. Bring your own water or call the reception to buy you water bottles. Bring your own ironing machine too. Very very bad. Staff is nonsense. Don't have manners to talk to a customer. Bad customer service. Poor bedding. Very dirty pillow. They take full payment provide bad service. Very ill mannered. Don't ever pay them in advance. They will request for a full payment later there poor service will start then if you raise your voice they will ask to vacate/ check out. At Late nights. I couldn't vacate because already it was too late in the night. So please check it's review before going. My curses are with them. May their bad hotel shut down soon. Amen!!!!! There is only one perfect thing about this hotel, it's location. My first impression after I just entered the room was the room had no proper finishing one can see paint falling off the wall, wires for switches were totally visible. After this I entered the bathroom where I found 2 cockroaches. I called them thrice just to get the TV remote which I got the next day in the evening.
