An Unforgettable Experience at Lemon Tree Premier, Rishikesh My stay at Lemon Tree Premier in Rishikesh was nothing short of magical. The hotel is nestled right beside the Ganga River, offering breathtaking views and a serene ambiance that truly touches the soul. The room was spectacular, with an incredible view of the flowing Ganges that made every morning feel divine. The food was exceptional — from breakfast to lunch, evening tea to dinner, every meal was a delight. A special shoutout to their signature drink, Buransh juice — absolutely refreshing and a must-try! What truly made my experience extraordinary was the hospitality. Amit, Nishant, and Radha from the service team were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. And I can't praise Chef Vinod enough — his culinary skills left everyone raving! A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ravinder for granting me permission to cover the beautiful Ganga Aarti using my drone. Though my arrival had a slightly rough start — Mr. Kamal from the security team initially mistook my drone for something serious and asked me to keep it in the car, assuming it wasn’t allowed even in the room. But after a calm discussion, everything was sorted, and I appreciated that rules were respected yet flexibility was shown when appropriate. The two most special moments of my stay: 1. The surprise birthday arrangement for my mother — a lovely towel elephant and warm gestures that brought genuine smiles. 2. The mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, made even more memorable by being able to capture it beautifully with the drone. In short, Lemon Tree Premier Rishikesh gave me memories to cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, beauty, and impeccable hospitality by the Ganges.

We had previously stayed at Lemon Tree Dehradun and had a nice experience. Lemon Tree's policy of hiring differently abled employees was particularly nice and we thought we would continue to book with them going forward. A couple of months later for our trip to Rishikesh, we booked Lemon Tree again and this time a Lemon Tree Premier. We had high hopes and were looking forward to our trip. Alas! Check-in: Took over an hour and people who arrived before us we shown to their rooms before us. When it happened a second time, we protested. No explanation was given for the delay. Room: was nice but the bathroom was a disaster (refer to attached images). Clogged shower drain, faulty fitting shower handle which made it difficult to operate and an ill fitted WC seat which made using it uncomfortable. We complained and on the third attempt asked for the manager who then moved us to a new room. The new room also had issues such as broken strings on the blinds which made them inoperable. However, we decided to not make an issue of this anymore. Restaurant: went twice (on different days) to order mapo tofu with noodles but each time was informed that tofu was not in stock; so we went out to eat instead. Otherwise excellent view and enjoyed our Americano on the terrace. Check out: Incorrect bill, asked for details, was promptly shown two bills that didnt add up to the total. Asked about the difference, and the person mumbled something about the internet. I denied and he promptly revised the bill BUT with no explanation or even an apology. To summarise, great location with really bad front desk staff and aging rooms with maintenance not upto the mark for what they charge.

We stayed at Lemon Tree Hotel from the 8th July to the 12th. It is perfectly nestled along the banks of the Ganges, and our stay was a memorable one. The location couldn't have been more convenient—just a short stroll to Ram Jhula, with plenty of local restaurants nearby and easy access to rickshaws for getting around. We stayed in the Ganges-facing suites, which were spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of dual air conditioning in both the bedroom and the lounge. While the in-room technology could use an upgrade (a smart TV with Netflix or YouTube would be ideal), we didn’t mind much as we spent most of our time outdoors exploring the surroundings. The kids loved the pool, and we noticed that the hotel also offers art workshops for all age groups, which we plan to try next time. We did indulge in their massage therapy services on two occasions. While the overall experience was average, the second session was noticeably better than the first. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to deep tissue techniques. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The meals were consistently fantastic, and the hospitality shown by the restaurant staff—especially Amit and Radha—was exceptional. Their warmth and attentiveness added a special touch to our dining experience. All in all, Lemon Tree Hotel offered a relaxing and well-located retreat with stunning river views, good amenities, and lovely service. We’d be happy to return!

Being an avid traveller and experiencing many other hotels around Rishikesh in the past, i am very disappointed with the service, cleanliness and accessibility of this hotel. Given below are some of my experiences.

  1. This hotel lacks professionalism, they keep a welcome drink and reception but there are no glasses kept for the entire day, i have my doubts on when this drink was last refilled.

  2. Changing rooms near swimming room were flooded with water (including washrooms) and shower gels + shampoo weren't refilled. How are we supposed to take shower after swimming ?

  3. There were 3 monkeys who came towards swimming pool to drink water and then attacked the kids (approx. 6-8 kids including my daughter). Adults panicked and called for hotel staff to which couple of staff members were taking videos instead of helping and when we yelled at them, they went and called someone else for help. I wish i had my phone to capture this and make it viral.

  4. Accessibility to hotel is very poor, one cannot travel unless you have a car. The road leading to hotel is steep and has about 2-3 turns. Kids and adults cannot walk towards the main road as it would be atleast 100-150 mtrs away from the main road. This also makes it inconvenient as when you call for auto services from hotel, the auto guys will charge you exorbitantly high since they know there is no other option for hotel guests. I had to pay 700 rs. for a round trip of 6 kms and 300 rs. for 2 kms journey.

5). Room service does not clean the room properly, we had pizza during our stay and kept the empty boxes near trash however to our surprise the trash was not picked up even after room were cleaned). I am attaching the pic of the same.

6). They conduct private aarti at ganga ghat within their hotel premises however panditji (young guy) had no clue what he was doing, he kept forgetting mantras and also didn't knew which is right or left hand (be it in english or hindi). He didn't even give prasadam at the end of aarti, we had to remind him to give prasadam.

7). I had booked a car for airport a day prior to check out. To my surprise early morning, i was being asked (by Mr. Prince at reception) when did i do the booking and whom did i speak to in the evening, It seems they were clueless if i had done any booking. They somehow managed hotel car in emergency since i was going to miss my flight had there been any further delays.

Having stayed in various other hotels in Rishikesh (since i am a frequent traveller), i would rather stay in those hotels which offer much better service in same price range (Rs. 15,000/- per night). This hotel is very much over rated and does not provide any value for money. I have my doubts if i would ever stay in Lemon Tree hotel anywhere...

Lemon Tree Premier Rishikesh – A Mixed Experience**

The Highlights: Nestled along the banks of the Ganges, this hotel offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan foothills. The location is undeniably stunning, providing a retreat close to nature.

The Good: The service stands out—courteous, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Sunil and Vinod in the restaurant, whose hospitality during breakfast made mornings a pleasure. They went above and beyond, even offering takeaway snacks for the kids. Every meal we had was enjoyable, with hygienic food preparation and handling.

The pool and lounge deck offered a much-needed escape after sightseeing, and our kids loved the art room, where they spent time creating with the guidance of art teacher Mansi.

The spa was a relaxing and health inducing experience.

The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the maintenance of the property leaves much to be desired. The construction quality and upkeep was definitely subpar, with visible signs of wear and poor workmanship. A bathroom flood one night due to poor drainage was inconvenient, and the TV never connected to cable channels throughout our stay.

The Annoyances: During our visit, construction was underway to add rooms and renovate sections of the hotel. This meant construction noise and piles of building materials around the property—not ideal for a relaxing family getaway.

The Disappointments: The litter problem in Rishikesh was disheartening—beaches, mountain trails, and town streets were strewn with waste, diminishing the area's natural beauty. Even at the hotel, which presents itself as a 4-star property, the entrance driveway was lined with scattered trash—paper, plastic bags, bottles—creating an unpleasant first impression. This reflects poorly on the hotel's management, which seems indifferent to maintaining a dignified and clean environment for guests.

The Verdict: While we enjoyed the service, food, and amenities, the lack of upkeep, construction disturbances, and unsightly litter definitely took away from the experience. Given these issues, this does not feel like a true 4-star property—more in the range of 3 to 3.5 stars. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to stay at this...

We had booked three superior rooms. My experience is as below Check in :- this was the toughest part. The staff always looked confused, looking into computer all the time. They looked as if they have no clue what’s going on. At the check in time they told it ll take 1 hour to get a room. We had two infants with us who were waiting for feed. They were not ready to give even one of the three rooms. When our requests were not listened , we had to be a bit harsh. Then they offered us one suite instead of two rooms. We had no other option than to take it. The third room was given at 4pm. Not just me but almost everyone was begging for rooms there.

Restaurant :- Food quality was good. But 2 pm is check in time. 3 pm you get room. And at 3pm tandoor is off in the restaurant. So God knows how can one have lunch there. Buffet breakfast is good and had good variety. Though sitting is limited in case it’s raining coz you can’t use outdoor seating.

Rooms : rooms are nice clean and are the best part of hotel. Rooms are Ganga facing with most of those with balcony. View from the room is the best part of hotel.

4 Exterior : there are two pools which are nicely maintained. But the changing areas were filthy. Sanitary napkins were lying there. Toilets seats were as if cleaned a week ago. Activity area had a pool table , 1-2 board games. Kids playing area is not there.

Horrible experience: I got locked inside the washroom as the lock of the door failed. I was locked inside for 15-20 minutes. Hotel ppl acted swiftly and broke the lock to get me out. But no body from the staff bothered to show any concern / apology about this. at this level you expect regular maintenance and replacement of old parts. So it’s a huge negligence on their part.

Check out : at the check out again they wasted 16-20 minutes. They added a food bill to ours that wasn’t ordered by us. Time on the bill was 12:30 of the check in day. And we were given the room at 4 pm. But still they took 20 minutes to convert their cleverness into innocence.

Best experience was that we forgot one of our item in the hotel. But the manger inspite of writing all the above things took all the pains to make sure that I receive my item. He arranged a courier for it so that I could...
