Great place if you are looking for a mesmerising place beneath the hills. I liked the hospitality and the management. Service was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good behaviour and atmosphere. Although the place is a little cornered from the main highway and the road to the restaurant is in very bad shape... But the place is quite serene....so it is worth. It is 15-20 minutes distance away from laxman jhula. I had a lot of help from Google maps but the last 200 mts were not navigable in it. So i had to ask the locals for directions. And as I've already mentioned about the road being in very bad shape ....especially in monsoon. It is very narrow and has a steep slope. Even after 3 hours post to the rain the water was still draining down all over the road and the potholes made it worse .....So taking a car is definitely not an option. Bikes or scooty are the best. And they have a good parking space. I loved the little things they've done outside the restaurant... sitting arrangements on a small lawn beneath a big tree....very creative and beautiful. I went there in evening after a long rainy day ... So the hills were all green and bushy with calmness everywhere. And it was a windy evening that turned the whole environment to a wonderful bliss and it was beautiful, quite and serene.
The food was delicious. You will find varieties of coffees and snacks. They serve vegetarian, non vegetarian and gluten free food. The snacks include various types of burgers, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, rolls and many others. And cake, pastries amlnd donuts in dessert. The food is awesome. Might be a little extravagant... but you'll not regret the amount as they taste delicious. I just loved them all. The staff is amicable and very kind. Management is also good. The interior is also very fascinating, soo many paintings on the walls. Indore sitting arrangements extensively include the short length Japanese style tables where you sit flooding your legs (i don't know what it's called). And a very few bench tables. Food is quickly served here because there's no shortage of staff. You'll definitely not regret going there. The cafe or awesome in taste and place. Peaceful & serene environment. The vad road is really not permanent. Hills in Uttarakhand are quite fragile and loose. They easily desicate in monsoons damaging the roads. But the govt fixes them once monsoon is over. Overall ..it is a great place to spend your time when you want to relax yourself. You should definitely give this place a try. Love...

Nestled in the heart of Rishikesh, Nirvana Bistro is a rare gem for those who crave authentic Himalayan flavors and non-vegetarian dishes—especially in a predominantly vegetarian locale. I recently indulged in their Pahadi Mutton Curry and found it to be an experience that transported me straight to a cozy, rustic Himalayan village. 🏔️
The Dish: Pahadi Mutton Curry This dish is nothing short of culinary bliss. The mutton is impeccably tender, melting in your mouth with each bite. Its flavor profile is rich, yet it holds a comforting balance—a perfect harmony of spices that add warmth without overwhelming heat. 🌶️ The authenticity in each bite feels like a taste of traditional home-cooked fare, with just the right blend of spices that evoke the earthy flavors of the mountains. It's the kind of curry that wraps around you like a warm blanket on a chilly mountain evening. 🧡
Ambiance & Service Nirvana Bistro itself has a soothing, laid-back vibe, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The service is attentive without being intrusive, allowing you to soak up the serene environment. The staff's knowledge and passion for Himalayan cuisine truly shine through. 😊
For anyone in Rishikesh seeking non-vegetarian fare that speaks to the soul, Nirvana Bistro is a must-visit. This bistro has both, indoor and outdoor seating, and is very cool place to hang out. The indoor seating is very unconventional, as the sofas that face each other on either side of a table, are placed edge to edge. Hence, with no room to let your legs hang over the edge, you will need to either sit cross legged or outstretch your legs on one side, as there is no scope to rest your feet on the ground. Enjoyed the twist in the seating, because it is one of a kind!
The pasta is great - a must try, and the Blueberry Cheesecake is also good. The Veg. burger, although made of very fresh and soft buns, is average. The patty can be crispier and overall tastier.
The staff is pleasant, energetic, enthusiastic and very honest too. Although we dropped some currency notes a couple of times, different staff members pointed it out to us and one of them even picked it up and handed it over.
The only dampner is the road leading up to this place; it is quite bumpy and uphill. If you are on a bike, you will be a bit stirred up by the time you get there. However, the experience thereafter is nothing but pleasant and worthwhile.
We will definitely hit this place again the next time we are in Rishikesh, mainly for the Pasta, desserts, ambience and...
