About the homestay: 1.The homestay is located just 10 mins from the mall road where you can easily access any other sights and points. Its is a beautiful building and the stay is located at the abode of it . You get an amazingly meshmerished heavenly view just by opening your room's front door . Rooms are fully furnished, hygienic and spacious too. About the host: 1.Pemba and his family is amangingly managing the homestay, right from answering our queries within hours to arranging car last moment . We got a chance to taste the local delicacy of the tibetian people "ting fing" cooked by the owners wife . And I would say we had a great time with the owner's father , while he depicting the history of Darjeeling, Sherpa comminity and the preachings of Buddhism. We recently booked room for two nights. The owner confirmed the availability of the room. Due to intense traffic we reached hotel at 6:00 PM for which also we had to take additional cab which charged us 1000INR due to the location of the homestay but we were okay with it because we were excited for our stay in the room which had balcony.
When we reached hotel and checked-in, the owner said the room was only available for that night but he promised to shift us to another hotel with similar room. The another hotel was literally a dump. After a lot of argument he again shifted us to another location.
Specially for Nepalese, they might seem helpful at first but I am not sure. Also, the location of the hotel near to Chowrasta and MG Road but it is uphill if you plan to go to other places and have...

I had a wonderful stay at Murmincho Homestay.It is conveniently located, being about a 10 minutes' walk from the Mall along a mostly flat road. It is serene and close to nature, having an open space with a breathtaking view, which is a rarity in Darjeeling town.The rooms are well-furnished, cosy and clean. Adequate storage is provided, including a locker in the cupboard. Uncle, Aunty, Mr. and Mrs. Pemba take care of every need.Uncle and Aunty are very sweet.
