Muscatel Himalayan Resort - 400 Mts from Mall Road — Hotel in West Bengal

Never ever book this hotel.I booked this hotel because of the pictures showed on the website. They charged me 5000/- per night. However the room which was provided was not worth Rs.1000/- . Staff said talk to goibibo as you booked from there and Goibibo said please talk to the property manager. No one provided the room that I had booked. Experience was pathetic. Finally I had to leave the hotel and stay at another hotel. No one returned the money as well.I am in loss for Rs10000/-. Never ever book this Hotel. They are torturing the tourists coming all the way from different cities.The management there do not have any kind of courtesy. I had booked Deluxe room on 13April 2023 for the stay on 01 June 2023 and the management was saying that the rooms are full.How is it possible.I booked the room when it was available.They should have blocked my room first. When enquired further we came to know that the deluxe room was given to Suite booking. So ultimately this hotel fooled the people by taking money for suite room and gave them deluxe room. This hotel is doing scam at different level. There is no road to this hotel. The photos that I have attached they said that it is a deluxe room. Whereas it was a common room for short time visitors.The cupboard was stinking alot. I had a very bad experience as I wasted 2 hrs talking to Goibibo and the hotel staff.the staff kept on saying cancel the booking if you don't like the room. I asked where I stay tonight if I cancel this and they said it's your problem.Coming all the way for n delhi with a pre-booked room and you are asking to cancel and go anywhere in the unknown City.What kind of business is this. We tourist come to Darjeeling for 2-3 days to enjoy and this people have ruined my trip. I will go to Consumer Court and will take action against what...

Initially We have booked this hotel for 2 nights, however we have reduced it to 1 night!

To start with, this property is nice. After checking photos online, we have booked the hotel, however when we stayed there, all issus started.

Switches/plugs in the hotel rooms were not working. Water was running from tap till evening, post which there were no water in the hotel room. We tried calling hotel reception, most of the time no one was there at reception. After searching for hotel staff for sometime, we found one! And complained about water, he promised to check, and came to our room after 30 min, there was still no water, he was just saying he has done some repairing and water will come, however till the time we stayed there next morning, there was no water!

Next morning, we were waiting for breakfast to be ready at restaurant. Setup was not done by them and after waiting for half an hour when we inquired, we came to know there will be no breakfast setup, we have to order and they will make it as per order. This wasnot informed while check-in. Also post placing order, when asked for extra butter for bread butter, we have been told by hotel staff that you have ordered for 2 patesand you will not get extra butter.

This was the worst experience we had. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff behavior was not at all helping or supporting. Book this hotel only if you are okay with pathetic hospitality...

I'm currently staying in this hotel and I've to say that my experience has been horrible so far.

I checked-in at around 3.30pm this afternoon and ever since I wanted to order a cup of hot tea at the behest of my wife.

I called the room service/restaurant to place the order but the person said that tea will be available later. I rang up again after a few mins to check to which I was informed that it shall be available only after 7pm. Even until then it was not a big deal.

Once it was 7, I called a third time only to be denied rudely by the staff saying that tea was available only until 5pm.

I totally lost it, I'm sure anyone would since all I was asking was 2 cups of regular tea. It wasn't even a request out of the blue.

I had to call the reception and launched a complain stating the above facts. The guy at the reception ensured that tea shall be delivered shortly. To check on the same I called the restaurant after 10 mins only to be informed again that tea shall not be served.

I felt like a ping pong ball only to be slapped from both ends and gaining noting from this hotel booking. I seriously wonder who gave 4.2 star rating to this hotel on Google.

My entire money seems waste now and it's almost 8.30pm local time, I still haven't received my cup of tea, guess giving good service to guests isn't their cup of tea.
