Grand Treat — Hotel in Zone 10 Kodambakkam

Worst experience ever not a single penny spent is valuable in this lodge.. there is no pros to say about it, i was attending a marriage event nearby so it was booked but when i entered they gave the room 310 and that room has no showerhead or faucet gun for lavatory and when i asked about it in reception the receptionist replied as it of not an issue and asked again they gave a family room which is also worst and i added few photos of it below and worst maintenance in rooms , corridor and parking too and the key they provide to us is useless as that key can open any rooms in the hotel and i still don't know why should there be an useless key if anyone with key can open any room in hotel.. and latrine is slippery with no mats on floor and my room has no remote for tv or Ac It is Bad experience any person should not have it by paying an amount and this is not an end my relative who is staying in room 113 had been looked inside with her little born child as the room key does not works from inside and when they tried to reach receptionist via telephone and as you know the phone to doesn't work and when they called me i went there and asked the receptionist lady she is cool as cucumber and replies as it doesn't matter worst experience anyone should have and then i asked her to come she seems not interested after i insisted again she moves and takes the key to the room and came and tried a lot to open the room and finally opens the door and after all these when i asked her about all these she says i am rude and asking lots of question. what will you do if this happens to you? Although the hotel has posted attractive photographs on its website, the actual experience was only terrible. First of all, they gave us a tiny room although they knew that my husband and I were travelling with our two children. There was no space to open our bags. Once we managed to open them somehow, there was no space to move around. Upon a couple of requests, they shifted us to another room which was slightly bigger, but full of cigarette stench. Here, we could open the bags, but then there was no space to put the extra bed which we had asked for for our elder daughter.||As for the bathroom, it has expensive fittings. I was looking forward to a nice shower under the one sq. foot large shower head. But that was not to happen. There was no running hot water. The staff brought us hot water in buckets. :(||A few words about the staff now. First of all, the staff has no uniform. You don't know who works there and who is just loafing around. Second, they can barely speak English or anything else apart from Tamil. Third, they have been give no training in courtesy. They were as crude and unprofessional as they can get.||Also, the hotel has a system of guests giving the room rent in advance, which is absolutely rubbish.||We somehow passed one night there and heaved a sigh of relief when we checked out. BEDBUGS!!!! BEDBUGS!!! Ya you heard me right !! My worst nightmare ... I’ve never honestly seen bedbugs in my life and I got the pleasure to see in this hotel. Not jus one or 2 but around 20 of them all over our bed. my husband and I took the hotel coz it was too hot at our aunts place without AC .. we went to check in without our luggage .. the ambiance in only cigarette smell . The entire hotel smells like cigarettes !! The owner I suppose, was busy on phone and din care there were customers waiting , while on call he signaled us to wait .. we waited .. A women appeared and she called us and said how we got the rooms as there were no availability, as it was the Wedding season , we said we booked it online. She then asked us , to our face , if we would could vacate the room in 3 hours !!!! I mean what the hell was she thinking??? I literally fumed but politely said we ll be needing the room for 24 hours. ! So there goes the customer service ! My husband suffered with viral fever later that day because of that hotel. This hotel shouldn’t be even operating! How do ppl even consider giving it a 5 star, I’ll never know !!
