Ramayana Hotel Sanur — Hotel in Denpasar Selatan

Booked in via internet as we all do and was very disappointed from the moment we arrived. Staff were not welcoming as we have come to expect in Bali. Check in was fine and we took our own suitcases to follow the staff to the room. The good bit - aircon was on. Bad bit - no window at all, shower was very old and appeared dirty. Tiles missing and just uninviting. No fridge. Yes I can have a fridge brought in for extra Rp 20,000 per day. And where is the pool? We don’t have one but we share with Swastika Hotel next door. Awesome - not. Crappy wifi. So we cut our stay short by 10 days and booked at Laghawa Beach Hotel. Of course no refund but I really didn’t care. I have been to Bali 17 times and this is by far the worst place I have stayed. Internet can be deceiving. Do yourself a favour folks and don’t stay there. Make your holiday terrific by staying...

I have paid less & got more. The room looked like a cupboard with bed and A/C put in. The walls were full of damp that you could smell. ||There was no fridge but one was provided at a small cost, this didn’t improve things since it was dirty. ||I could have put up with the room for a day or so but the sheets were gray and the blanket looked like something from army surplus. ||We asked to be moved but they said they were full so I can only hope the other rooms were better.||On the positive side the a/c was great and the staff pleasant.||We left for a nice place (lesson learned) that we have stayed before. ||I understand that when you pay a low price you can’t except the Hilton but something liveable I do expect especially when the add said that the normal price is much higher.||Anyhow I would NOT recommend this place.||The restaurant in front...

Stayed only 3 nights and wish it had been longer. Rooms were clean and bathroom had shower alcove rather than shower over bath.Much better. There was a little bit of noise from the road at night but we usually wear ear plugs qhen in Bali so this was not a problem. Breakfast was a little bit ordinary so I bought some baked beans to add to what was available. Use f the pool at rear was good.Friendly and helpful staff. The rates per night were cheap enough and if you were planning a longer stay I am dure you could negotiate a better rate. The hotel is in a central location close to everything and in particular a 5 minute walk to Hardy's.
