This is a fantastic hotel - we’ve just returned from a 6 x night stay here at the end of our 2.5 week stay in Bali and were really happy we chose to stay here.|The hotel is in a great location, there is so much around the hotel to explore and you are close to the mall which is great, as well as many fantastic shops and local restaurants. |We really enjoyed the pool area after quite a hectic time in Bali beforehand, never struggled to get a sunbed at any time of the day as it seemed that people were quite respectful and moved their towels when they were going off somewhere unlike many European resorts. Whilst not directly on the beach they also have a beach area with sunbeds about a 5 minute walk away, which we did with our 4 year old a few times. The area has comfortable sunbeds and towels so you don’t have to carry a towel down there and you leave it there when you are done with it - you just need a voucher from reception. There are also clean toilets at the beach area (they have a partnership with a hotel directly on the beach whose toilets you can use), and you can order food to your sunbeds from that hotel which we saw people doing altho did not do this ourselves.|Our room was on the ground floor, exterior facing with a large spa bath, which, whilst it wouldn’t have been my first preference for a room we found to be very quiet and I think was better for us in terms of noise as we have a young child (I appreciated also that we were asked if we were happy with our room).|We ate lunch only once at the hotel, it was reasonably priced and lovely. |Breakfast was fantastic every day with a huge variety of buffet and freshly cooked options. Different egg stations meant that there was little to no queue to get freshly cooked eggs every morning which was brilliant. The buffet station was maintained and cleaned with military precision, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an efficient operation at a hotel buffet! Likewise the ops staff who look after the breakfast do a fantastic job as even at peak times when it was really busy, there is never a struggle to get a table, never a dirty table and staff are completely on top of their areas. |Above all it is the staff that make this hotel - all the staff across all areas are so friendly, |welcoming, smiling and greeting you and it felt warm and genuine. People seem to genuinely like their jobs and care about the guest experience - they can’t do enough for you - for example the lady in the restaurant who one evening helped me chop my daughters synthetic braids out of her hair!|Particular mentions must go to Kojek, the guest relations manager who is quietly everywhere being all things to all people and helping ensure guests have what they need, whether it’s with the guest directly or helping his staff. He is a credit to the hotel. Same goes for Lintang at front of house - his warmth and personality shine through and set the tone for this marvellous hotel. Not sure when we’ll be back to Bali as it’s a long way for us from the UK but I’ll be recommending this hotel to all our...
Read moreEdit: Here is my final review after 7 days of staying.
Positive experience: 1.Breakfast restaurant was pretty good and restaurant staff was polite and quick. Fruits were very fresh. Swimming pool was in good condition. They have a doctor's office during daytime. I've never visited it but this might be crucial in case of life and death emergency. At least The staff makes an effort to fix your inconvenience. I think it's best to ask a staff's WhatsApp number and request assistance via WhatsApp for record and prompt service. Wfi speed was decent.
Inconvenient experience: Upon our arrival, the room tv was broken like the broken tv in our grandma's house during the 1980s. The air conditioner was also completely broken. Our room was hotter than outside despite the AC turned on at 17c degree. It was so hot that I had to get out of the room. It was disappointing to see the hotel providing a non-functioning room to guests. I hope sanur resort watu jimbar thoroughly checks guest rooms before they accept guests. After checking in, the staff in white uniform guided us to an elevator and did not guide to the room. Because the hotel's room numbers start with number 8, we had a difficulty finding our room by ourselves. We asked the young man on front lobby twice for tv repair and air conditioner. After we waited for an hour, nobody came for us. We asked the older man on front lobby and he suggested room upgrade. When we checked the new room and returned to lobby, he told us that the original room's tv and air conditioner have been fixed. We didn't want to look like entitled guests and chose the original room we booked for. I think it would have been better if he just didn't mentioned room upgrade in the first place. By the way, the young man never came to us and said sorry to us for wasting our time and ignoring our request for tv fix and ac fix. The air conditioner in room 8137 broke again after 11 pm. We became unhappy and requested refund for remaining stay. The staff refused and transferred us to the room in same condition with working air conditioner. Next day, on march 16, 2025, before we went to sleep, we found black stains(probably wine or blood) on our blanket. We contacted the guest relation officer and she quickly solved the issue. The staff again refused our request for refund for remaining stays, At this stage, we were too frustrated and tired to make further complaints. The management is very stubborn on refund policy despite their mistakes(i.e. broken room with no ac and tv, making us wait for 1 hour, not honoring our request for fix, broken ac again and finally providing dirty blanket). We stayed for 1 week and the only person who actually checked on us was guest relations officer. The manager himself didn't even show up and...
Read moreA great hotel, for little money! We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and overall had a great time. The great points about this hotel: Food: Their breakfast, the poolbar and their theme evenings are all incredible. The breakfast has your standard items and then a live cooking section where they bake eggs according to your preference, pancakes and french toast. It all tastes really good. The menu from the pool bar (which you can order during lunch and dinner) is really large, so you have lots of options. And their theme evenings are ah-mazing! I would really recommend going to the theme-nights if you are able to. Service: The people that work at the hotel are all really friendly and helpful. If you have any questions or special requests, you can just ask and they will help you out any way they can. Location: The hotel has a fantastic location in the middle of Sanur. It is right next to the busiest street of Sanur (do not worry, there is a driveway, so you will not be disturbed by the noise), which is great because you can just walk to a restaurant, supermarket, boutique or spa. There are lots of options, and there is a sidewalk on both sides of the road, so you can walk safely. It is also located fairly close to the airport, so that is a great bonus. Room for improvement: Wifi: The wifi in the hotel was really unstable and overall not so great. It was better when we were around the pool area, but in the rooms we could not do anything on the wifi at all. We told the people at the front desk and they gave us a wifi amplifier, but it still was not that great. Room: The rooms overall are fine, but a little outdated and we found some stains on the sleeping couch and some damage in the shower. There was a hot tub outside, but it looked really dirty, so we did not use it. The airconditioning was also not working that great, it stayed pretty hot during our entire stay. But for that price, everything was pretty okay. Pool: The pool itself was really nice, with two separate pools and lots of room to swim. They had a towel service, where you could pick up fresh towels everyday. The problem however was, that there were not enough sunbeds, not even close. And unfortunately a lot of people went to breakfast, put their towels on sunbeds and then left. The sunbeds themselves were sometimes great, since some of them had cushions, but some were curved really weird, so that you can not put a cushion on it and were...
