Just like a real rainbow, Rainbow Warung reveals itself only to those with a pure heart and a keen eye. Tucked away as a literal "hole in the wall," this culinary underdog in Sanur stands tall, outshining its more expensive and exclusive counterparts with an experience that's as heartfelt as it is delicious.
A Unique and Intimate Dining Journey From its modest micro-kitchen to its five intimate tables, each seating two, the entire experience at Rainbow Warung is truly unique. What it lacks in flashy decor or expansive space, it more than makes up for in its colossal flavors and exceptional Indonesian cooking. It's a titan where taste is KING.
Every dish at Rainbow Warung is prepared fresh to order, meaning you'll need to exercise a little patience. But trust me, the wait is a small price to pay for the magnificent reward: unbelievably amazing food and vibrant, freshly squeezed juices.
If you find yourself in the Sanur area with a little time to spare, do yourself a favor and seek out these wonderful folks. I'm confident that once you experience Rainbow Warung, you'll wish you'd discovered this gem before sampling any of the other "fancy" establishments in the vicinity. It's more than just a meal; it's a truly heartfelt...
Read moreI can recommend Rainbow Warung to everyone to try it out. For three years now, my family and I have been coming back again and again, often eating there for days or weeks because we really love their food. A young, enthusiastic, and genuinely kind couple prepares the meals. They are always extremely attentive and courteous, greeting everyone with a wide smile. Here you don’t just eat well, but you can almost feel like a family member. They cook traditional local dishes with heart and soul and great taste. The place is popular, and everything is always freshly made, so sometimes you have to wait, but it’s worth it because the food is very delicious. My little daughter also loves them because there is always time for a little play and laughter. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and happy to chat with guests whenever time allows, alongside cooking and serving. Since we became good friends, we even took part in a cooking class where we learned how to make our favorite dishes. If anyone visits Sanur, they must definitely stop by; they...
Read moreOne of my favorite, if not the favorite Warung in Bali, not only because of the delicious home cooked food that is to die for, but also the atmosphere and the people that visit this Warung. We came for food and made friends!
It's a small and long shop, colorful, like a rainbow, not because of its decoration but also the people that come here.
Gus, the owner and his wife are very welcoming and have fun while doing their job, you can tell that for sure.
The prices are fair, not touristic and the portions don't allow for more food in your stomach, even though you don't want to stop eating.
The Nasi Goreng and the Crispy Chicken are finger licking good. I was always surprised how fast I finished my food when I visited. Also try the Watermelon juice, not only will it cool you down but also give you the full taste explosion in combination with your Nasi Goreng.
Also if you want to have a nice local alcoholic drink, ask for Gus' Arak. Goes down well and tastes just amazing!
Terima Kasih, we will visit again once we are on...
