Puring Bungalows — Hotel in Gili Air

Located off a main road and about a 10 minute walk from the drop off docks. Lots of beautiful plants and friendly cats around. Staff were also extremely helpful. A map of the island was left for us to navigate, along with the boat schedule. Our room was much bigger than expected and even had a half size fridge which was nice. Heads up though, it’s a street away from a mosque so we were woken up everyday at 4:30am for call to prayer even with ear plugs so keep that in mind when choosing a place

I do not recommend doing your laundry here though. I gave it to the staff and it came back with a strong foul chemical smell. After taking a whiff, I started coughing. It smelt as strong as bleach and my wife was afraid to wear her underwear so we had to do laundry again elsewhere. Additionally, the “clean” towels we were given always had a very funky smell to them and never felt clean. There was no hot water here, the AC barely worked and the way the sink was rigged up made me soaked when I washed my hands. Outside both of our windows was also a public drying rack where sheets / towels got hung and workers would always be so privacy wasn’t super possible unless we closed...

The stay here was nice. Good value for the money. I liked that you get a mosquito net over the bed. The wifi signal isn't strong enough to reach the last bungalow which is a minus. The breakfast was quite standard but you get nice fruit juices with your meal. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions. If the power goes, which it does sometime for the whole island, they have back...

This is a great place to relax! Very quiet place with a friendly, relaxing atmosphere! Everything you need to relax here! Beautiful garden ... cozy terrace at the bungalow ... it is a pleasure to sit here! The bungalow is very large, comfortable bed and mattress, everything is new inside, large bathroom!
