Bohio Kitchen — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

We ate a genuinely bad meal here — our worst in Indonesia in over a week here so far.

We were excited to eat here, seeing it has a 4.9 and a menu that excited us. We ordered chicken and fish tacos and a soup. The avocado was not ripe (rock hard) and the fish tasted very fishy. When asked by the waiter how our meal was, we shared feedback with him. He in turn told us that the fish may taste that way because they buy their fish every two days and keep it in the fridge in between purchases — i.e. it was not fresh… on an island where fresh fish is sold everywhere.

The tortillas were good, seemed to be homemade and the beans were good too. The atmosphere was nice, but we would not go back here if we had it to do over again. It seems from the reviews our experience is an anomaly, which we hope...

Great new place in Gili Air, amazing food (I forgot its Bolivia or Peru :P).. started it with Banana Verdes, fried banana with guacamole on the side, the banana is thick slice but its crispy, they did a good job cooking thick banana slice and its Crispy.. then I order stuffed chicken and its amazing,the chicken is tender and juicy, good seasoning.. closed it with Barb's fruit tart, mix Berry's sauce, with dragon fruit and manggo slice.. The mix of sweet and sour its good combination in your mouth and party in your tummy.. great dish to close your meals..

The atmosphere was good at this restaurant. However, I formed a very bad impression of the place as soon as the waitress attended to us as she appeared to be high on substance. She was loud, uncoordinated and swaying slightly. I wouldn't have minded all of this if she could still do her job, however she got our order wrong and one of us ended up having to wait even longer for the food (which took about 30mins). I ordered the "stuffed chicken" and the presentation and taste of the food was abysmal. Not sure how they got 5 stars but I would NOT recommend dining here as there are much better and cheaper...
