PLAZA 54 RESIDENCE — Hotel in Jakarta

Amazing place for the value. Location is right behind ambassador mall. Although you have to get into a small street looks like a one way street with many bikes during the day but it's very convenient. Lots of local food stalls outside and mini mart next door. On-site parking is available. No reception desk so you will need to wait for someone to come over and check you in. There's a lift. The room is comfortable, modern, clean and quite spacious. It has a window and partly city view as well. They provide kettle, free bottle of water and cup noodles! Saved me from starving since I checked in around 11pm. They have shared kitchen facilities too. Once you get out of lift there's no number signs on wall to find the room so you could get confused as there are a few hallway. The staff will knock your door around 9ish to ask if you need them to clean the room. I found it quite annoying as I'm not a morning person but you can just tell them in advance to avoid this. Maybe a door hanger would be a good idea for information, like a proper hotel so they don't need to keep knocking every room. The staff were so friendly and one of them found my bag that I left in the balcony common area the night before and he returned it, he was such an honest man. In a close proximity to ITC Kuningan, Ambassador Mall, Kuningan City, and Lotte Avenue (only need to cross the road). Abundant food stalls nearby. Has a functioning fitness room at the Ground/Basement floor.

The thing we love the most is they provide utensils in the room so you could pick foods outside and eat comfortably in your room (on the floor), or at the table in the public area. They also provide water dispenser, stove, and microwave in the pantry to be used wisely. Do ask for a room with window that faces outside of the building for better privacy.

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of door-sign in my room (the one with “Do Not Disturb/Please Make Up” mark). I was showering when they knocked for room makeup so I didn’t hear it, fortunately the latch was attached that time so they were unable to enter my room.
