The Mayflower, Jakarta - Marriott Executive Apartments — Hotel in Jakarta

The Mayflower was the first time i stayed in a service apartment, just remember if you are concerned about Marriott points and or room nights you will not get them in full here for room nights its 3 nights for 1 night and i believe 3 dollars spend gets one point. So basically your only getting 1/3 that of any Marriott hotel.

The rooms are very large, nice view of the city. I had a single bed room, and i believe it was close to 100sqm which was more than enough for a single person occupancy. I didn't opt for the breakfast as it seemed very small and limited in selection.

The staff greeted me at the entrance expecting my arrival which was nice and were very fast in checking me in and checking out as well as explaining the room and facilities.

The rooms are a bit old but considering the size to cost i think its a good value.

They provide a water dispenser which was constantly vibrating and making sounds but as the room was massive when i went to the bedroom it didn't bother me.

My only major issue which hit me a bit wrong but i accepted the payment. First i took silvercab, as i was told they take credit cards as i landed late at night and didn't have cash. My bill was 290,000 IDR a bit over US$20. The hotel told me they can pay for me, i was very happy as i didn't have to exchange my money at that point. So i accepted. When i checked out they charged me IDR460,000. This is their rate if they book the car for you and the car is waiting, I didn't have any of that service i waited in line at the airport to avoid such over price, so that did hit me negatively.

My second issue, they put a bottle of wine on the dinning table with a sign saying i qualify for 15% discount on wines and to call downstairs for the full list. I assumed this bottle was complimentary as i get it often in hotels. I was charge 950,000 IDR for a sub-par bottle of table wine in my opinion that is almost US$70!

I paid both charges reluctantly but may this be a warning they rip you off on this so do not use these services.

Put these issues aside and if you know how to avoid being ripped off the place is nice, the service was good. the location is ok, no real activities in walking distance so you will need to cab everywhere, and it is the worst traffic in all of Jakarta...

Spent my 7D/6N Quarantine in The Mayflower Jakarta. I can say it, I dearly enjoyed my Quarantine experience here.

1. Food: This was the topic I was the most nervous about, since I am a vegetarian and I was reading beforehand horrible stories from other Quarantine Hotels and that people weren't satisfied with their food. In The Mayflower I was highly satisfied with the food. Not only was it always served/warm and hot, but also delicious. The food was always a good mix of carbs, veggies and also a dessert. The food was always delivered on time, the portions were huge and the quality of the food was great as well.

2. Room Facilities: I stayed in the Superior Room with 80sqm. The room had a washing machine, a kitchen (with stove, microwave and even a dishwasher), a bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, a big wardrobe and a bedroom with working desk and a nice living area with sofa. There was more than enough space to move around, the sofa and the chairs were comfortable. There were also tea bags and coffee powder to make your own coffee and tea in the kitchen. The windows were able to be opened on the top to get a bit fresh air in. The Aircon was efficient and quiet. The bed was very comfortable with a variation of pillows and a very comfortable matras and blanket. There was enough warm water to fill the bathtub with warm water. I didn't hear any noise from neighbor rooms.

3. View: There was a stunning view on the skyscrapers of Jakarta from my room on the 29th Floor.. Big windows and lots of light. I even had direkt sunlight in the room on a sunny day. Although I have to admit that I was surprised, that I could still hear the traffic from the street quite strongly in the room, but it didn't bother me a lot.

4. Service & Staff: Service was excellent, they responded always immediately via Whatsapp. Extra wishes were instantly fullfiled. PCR-Test was on time and super smooth process. Staff was highly courteous.

Conclusion: I was super happy to spend my quarantine here. And here I say it: I enjoyed it and was sad to leave :-)

Very enjoyable stay indeed. For a Marriott Apartment, it was indeed a very comfortable stay. Have stayed previously at Marriott hotels in Jakarta but this is have to say was the best in comfort.||Nothing to shout about on their breakfast but it was indeed a simple but delightful one. Also there a couple of restaurants within the building if you keen to have a quick meal for lunch or dinner. ||Grab food was easy to navigate. Just need to let them know where you want to pick up, I did mine in front of the Bank Mega. ||Very friendly staff, special call out to Vonny and Ongki. They were indeed helpful. Had a early departure at 1.30am, helped me with transport arrangements. ||We did stay here in November for a family vacation. Have tried both their 2 room and 1 room apartment. Very well equipped. Comes with a microwave, washing machine, full oven and utensils, fridge and the usual amenities. If you take the 2 room, you will get two bathrooms. ||Do give this property a try if you're coming next to Jakarta. Only setback for some, you don't get the usual elite nights from Bonvoy as they only credit one elite night for 3 nights of stay. But if you're not keen on the points, I think it is very comfortable and enjoyable stay. They have a very nice long swimming pool and a kids pool. Their change rooms are very clean and also have a sauna in them. Don't expect the usual perks for bonvoy elite members such as executive lounge as this is not a hotel per se. But I never felt short of it as the rooms are indeed big and very enjoyable. ||Will certainly be back here. Oh one more thing, since this property is located within office buildings, the front entrance and all restaurants and convenient store is not available on the weekends. But you can still order through food hailing operators. ||Thanks again for tge wonderful stay...
