Save your money and go elsewhere, it’s not clean, tidy, quiet, or well maintained.
We arrived at 15:30 and the room was still not ready due to renovations, the workers wore dirty shoes leaving stains in the bathroom during our stay. When we arrived we were told the pool was empty and there is construction everywhere, these are things you should be told during the booking process.
The staff are non existent, we only saw the cleaner on the morning of check out to see when she could clean the room for the next guests, our room was never cleaned during our stay, not even offered. Considering we were there for 4 nights some fresh towels and a changing of our bins would have been appreciated at least.
The rooms permanently have mosquitos and other insects in them even if you keep the door closed, we had to empty our own bins to try and get rid of the ants due to the non existent cleaner.
This hotel has potential, all it needs is staff who do their job, some water for their pool, soundproofing rooms, bed side tables, lamps, and an extractor fan for...
Read moreI highly do not recommend this place for several reasons: The pool was empty; it looked like it hasn't been used for a while. My room was INFESTED with mosquitoes (I killed at least 10). The staff came to my room 3 days in a row to make renovations (this was never mentioned to me, they would leave the door open so more mosquitoes would come in). The internet really REALLY sucks. It goes on and off so constantly that infuriates you. They were stains on the bed sheets and towels. There is construction happening everywhere around the hotel so be prepared to be woken up by loud trucks in the morning. The room door has gaps on both the upper and bottom sides so it's impossible to keep your room bug-free (I sprayed bug spray on myself every night before sleep).
Of course I was not expecting the most luxurious experience ever, but too many things went so wrong here that it really confused me why this place has 4.5 stars. This is literally the first bad review I have ever written but I wish someone told me this...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed with my experience at Kaya. I stayed for one night, and unfortunately, it was raining heavily, causing my room to flood significantly. Water spread across the floor and even seeped through the window, soaking all my belongings that were on the table in front of it. The situation was both distressing and alarming.
I requested a refund due to the severity of the issue, but it was denied because I hadn’t reported the incident immediately. However, I returned to my room at 2 a.m. and was in no position to wait for hours for someone to fix the issue, such as sealing the door. This would have been an unrealistic expectation in the middle of the night.
In a tropical environment like this, proper precautions should be in place to prepare for heavy rain and prevent such situations. The lack of preparedness was unacceptable, and it significantly...
