Currently writing this while having breakfast with my husband 😂||From the booking process, until currently eating breakfast here, everything is tip-top and well-deserved especially for honeymoon.||We’re a newlywed, and we’ve decided to book renaissance bali nusa dua as the place looks nice and has that serenity yet young vibe. |We actually booked twin bed as there were no king sized bed available during our stay. So we contacted with the ren team via marriott bonvoy app, and they were super helpful with our request. Cori & Astrella were super helpful with our room request as well as airport transfer request. Both of them replied to my chat super duper fast.||During arrival, there were a bit complications at the airport as we couldnt locate the driver. Nonetheless, the lovely driver, pak awan ketut apologizes and were being friendly along the way and journey. He suggested to us few touristy places or activities what we can do in bali / nusa dua area.||Upon check in, we were greeted with friendly associates with bright smiles. And we were served refreshing mocktail as we are a elite member of marriott bonvoy. The receptionist, Agung i think, was helpful with our check in process, and the lady who assisted, Yuni, was amazing. She gave us a quick run through of the hotel’s map and activities. She even guided us straight to our room.||Omg our room is awesome! The layout, the interior design is very local, very bali, yet it is modern and spacious. It has an international outlet, so we don’t have to worry about bringing an international plug adapter. The ren team surprised us with a honeymoon decoration and with amenities as well. ||Later in the afternoon/evening, we decided to go to the beach with hotel shuttle. They have shuttle directly to the beach as well as Bali Collection (its like a mall). The supir was friendly and helpful.|The beach where we were dropped off werent that far off from the bali collection, just a bit of a walk, and we have arrived. P.s, the shuttle is every 1 hour, so we have an ample of time to check both places.||Back to the hotel, we decided to have dinner at Backstage Restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly hostess, i love how she was considerate and asking if we have any allergies.||When we’ve received our menu, the restaurant supervisor, Ramon, approached us. If he’s an animal, i would say he would be a golden retriever. He is super friendly, a bit of a yapper, but we can see how his lovely personality reflected his work. Ren Nusa Dua is lucky to have him. His smiles and the way he talks is infectious. He made us want to talk more with him. ||Anyways, he told him we wanted to eat something local, as we couldnt locate local food around the bali collection/beach area. Ramon suggested to try the Lumpia Sanur Beach as the appetizer, Nasi Campur as main course, and Apple Pie Cheesecak Taco as desserts. We took all of his suggestions, and added on Gado gado, and Ikan Bakar. All in all, all of the dishes were splendid, the taste is on point, we were as full as a buffalo, and our tastebuds were dancing with joy. If the Ren team is reading this, do give our compliments to the chefs who made these dishes. ||Oh! And before i forgot, i like how Ramon gave us this tempe kerepok as snacks. And he shared us this Sambal Mata for us to try. Amazing, spicy yet refreshing.||All in all, both me and my husband cant wait what other activities we can explore on this hotel, and other places.||Love,|Wawa & Haziq from Malaysia 🇲🇾||P.s, this is for now, we might write more after our honeymoon...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This resort is a true gem for families seeking a quiet and peaceful retreat, combined with modern comforts and outstanding customer service.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm smile of Ibu Indah, who effortlessly checked us in and made us feel right at home. This was actually my second visit to the Renaissance, and I can confidently say that the exceptional service provided by each staff member is what sets this resort apart. Pk Wawan also greet us during check in process.
During our three-night stay, we had an unforgettable time celebrating our anniversary. The resort offers a range of activities for both adults and children, ensuring that everyone has a memorable experience. My daughter absolutely adored the pools and the Lava Land Kids Club. Although the kids club is a bit small, the staff there were incredibly attentive and caring, making it a safe and enjoyable space for children.
One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast spread. It was simply out of this world! The variety and quality of the food were truly impressive, and it was undoubtedly the best breakfast experience I have ever had. The culinary delights offered something for every palate, leaving us satisfied and ready to start our day.
The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, providing a peaceful haven for relaxation. The only minor issue we encountered was with the bath tub. While it was a great addition, it would have been better if it had a proper enclosure. Our kids loved playing in the tub, but it did tend to splash water everywhere, requiring us to constantly wipe up the floor.
Despite this small inconvenience, I can confidently say that we will be returning to the Renaissance Hotel. The above and beyond service provided by the staff, the delightful breakfast experience, and the overall ambiance of the resort make it an irresistible choice for our future visits to Bali.
hile the overall stay was fantastic, I believe there is room for improvement when it comes to the quality and taste of the food at the Backstage restaurant.
During our visit, we ordered the Ikan Bakar Nusa Dua, Butter Chicken, and Philly Cheesesteak at Backstage restaurant. Although the presentation was appealing, we found that the taste and quality of the meals did not quite live up to our expectations, especially considering the price. It would be wonderful to see the culinary team work on enhancing the flavors and ensuring that each dish delivers a truly satisfying experience.
On a positive note, I want to commend the hotel for providing convenient beach access through their shuttle bus service. The regular shuttle bus schedule, with buses departing every hour, made it incredibly convenient to reach the beach and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without any hassle.
In conclusion, while we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Nusa Dua, I believe there is an opportunity to improve the quality and taste of the food at the Backstage restaurant. I appreciate the efforts put into creating a remarkable experience for guests, and I hope that the culinary team takes this feedback into consideration to further enhance the dining options. The beach access provided through the shuttle bus service was a definite highlight and greatly added to our overall enjoyment...
Read moreThe long story short: Plus points: Huge rooms and pools, very friendly staff To be improved: variety/spread at breakfast and kids club's aged facility/toys
Detailed Review: Check in: We were disappointed to find out that our supposedly confirmed suite upgrade redemption was not available and the staff were very apologetic about this. An early check-in is usually a norm for a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member so we were in for another unpleasant surprise - we had to wait about 30mins at the lobby (we arrived slightly before 4pm) for our room to be ready - where other guests were freely smoking and vaping next to our young children. Our little ones especially appreciated the refreshing cold towels provided to wipe ourselves with.
Room (2506): We appreciated that the room was near the lift. The room was designed with a generous amount of space; bathtub is one of the biggest we've seen. The air con caters to eskimos as the maximum temperature is 24 degrees, but felt like 16. It's so cold that the TV and marble surfaces are often covered with condensation. I'd highly recommend long sleeved sleepwear. Another gripe was the non-existent or weak ventilation fan in the shower room, which meant a slight musky odour was the norm. The pool facing room meant that we could hear the faint thumping of music at night, but that wasnt too much of an issue with the bed situation far away enough from the sliding doors/main door.
Staff and in-room amenities: Staff were all around friendly and welcoming, no complaints whatsoever. We are thankful for the endless supply of glass bottled water and appreciated the stuffed bird toys that were given to our little ones. No complaints about the complimentary in-room amenities. Towels were great - thick and fluffy. We appreciated the complimentary shuttle bus to the Bali Collection - do pay Nusa By/Suka there a visit for a reasonably priced yet outstanding meal.
Dining: There are two options for breakfast - opening air dining at Backstage or air con dining at Tanah Liat. Backstage has an additional fresh juice bar and a hot noodle station. After 4 days and 3 nights, the spread didnt change much and food while good tasting, started to feel quite boring. While the selection for cakes/dessert/juices were excellent, I wished the variety of the hot food was wider.
Facilities: The round jacuzzi connected with the rectangular pool at the same level as the lobby doesnt seem to work anymore. The toys and playground facility in the kids club look dated/worn and a refresh would be great. The open-air playground connected to the kids club is too humid to use during day time; the kids club during day is really really jam packed - it's time to expand the space to comfortably accommodate the large number of...
