We had a really good experience at Backstage Food Theatre. The prices are very reasonable for a hotel restaurant, and while we only had the chance to try breakfast, the quality was impressive. We mostly went with the à la carte breakfast, which had a nice variety of choices on the menu. One small suggestion would be to include butter, jam, and cheese on the menu directly, rather than only providing them upon request. We also tried the buffet once, and it had a huge selection of options, enough to please everyone.
The service was truly exceptional. Staff like Winda and Soma went above and beyond with not only their service but also their warm personalities. They happily answered our questions about Bali and the local culture, which made the experience even more special. Once, when we asked about a sauce, the chef himself came over to us and kindly shared the recipe—unbelievable and unforgettable!

Read moreWe loved having our laissez-faire family-friendly buffet breakfast with our all-inclusive stay at Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort. There is something for everyone.
We really enjoyed the mix of typical western breakfast (sweet and savoury baked delights, cereals, breads, pancakes, bacon and eggs, cheese and deli meats, etc.) with Asian cuisines (soup / noodle station, Chinese / Indian dishes, sushi, etc.).
Highlights for us were: fresh croissants, crispy bacon, have a chef make your omelette or fried eggs, have a chef make your soup / broth to your liking, local fruits (e.g. Salak — looks a bit like a burned strawberry or a dragon egg, you peel it, it looks like garlic cloves on the inside, and has a very tasty, pleasant, crunchy light flavour, yet hard to describe taste).
Every single member of staff, from check-in / server, to cooks, to cleaners all provided exceptional service.
The location is also very modern, relaxing, and spacious, even at busy breakfast times. We always sat at the outdoor tables.
Highly recommend for breakfast, especially for big...

Its the breakfast place for the hotel but they also serve lunch and dinner.
I never had high expectation for a hotel restaurant but backstage definitely won me over. They had a huge variety of cuisines and each one is cooked to perfection. I can tell it was done with much attention to detail and kept as authentic as possible to the origin of each cuisine.
Its hard to find a good , affordable restaurant in Nusa Dua. And Backstage definitely stands out with its laidback environment and outstanding...
