During our stay in Bali, we had the pleasure of dining multiple times at Lion X in Nusa Dua, and each visit left us thoroughly impressed. This restaurant is a rare find—combining stunning design, impeccable service, and truly outstanding Chinese cuisine.

The first thing that catches your eye is the beautifully designed space. The restaurant blends traditional Chinese aesthetics with a sleek, contemporary touch. High ceilings, excellent air conditioning (a blessing in Bali’s heat), and tasteful decorative elements—including a dramatic chandelier—create a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. Even the tableware deserves a mention: elegant, refined, and adding to the overall dining experience.

The service at Lion X is nothing short of flawless. Every single evening we were met with warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism. The staff is quick, polite, and genuinely eager to help with recommendations. A special thank you goes to Weka, who truly went above and beyond each time. It’s rare to find such high standards consistently upheld, and here, it felt effortless.

Now, onto the food—without a doubt, some of the finest Chinese dishes we've had anywhere. Each plate was a delight, beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavor. The Peking duck, prepared according to the chef’s special recipe, was absolutely outstanding—crisp, flavorful, and unforgettable. The fresh fish, cooked to perfection, was another highlight. Not a single dish disappointed us, which says a lot considering how many we tried.

One of the most surprising aspects was the pricing. Typically, restaurants attached to luxury hotels charge a premium, but Lion X is an exception. The prices are extremely reasonable, even lower than some beachfront spots, and the value for money is among the best we've encountered in Bali. The quality you receive here far exceeds expectations at this price point.

As someone who’s been living in Bali for a while, I can confidently say that Lion X is now at the top of my list. I’ll definitely be bringing friends here again. This restaurant is a true standout—not just in Nusa Dua, but on the...

We keep coming back to Lion X, and it has easily become our go-to spot for fantastic Chinese food with friends. We've been here many times, and it's always a consistently excellent experience, especially for a larger group. The absolute star of the show for us is the Peking Duck. It's consistently perfect, with incredibly crispy skin and tender meat. A great tip is that you can ask the staff to wrap the pancakes for you before bringing it to the table. They do it perfectly, and it just makes the whole experience more seamless and enjoyable. Beyond the duck, the menu is impressively large and everything we've tried has been spot-on. The soups are genuinely authentic, and the variety of dumplings and Chinese noodle dishes is fantastic. The interior deserves a mention as well. It’s very modern and stylish, but the most striking feature is the incredibly high ceilings. This gives the whole place a very open and grand feeling, which makes it perfect for our gatherings. But what truly sets Lion X apart for us is the service. It’s consistently top-notch. The staff is incredibly polite, efficient, and just genuinely professional. We've been lucky enough to be served by Gung Yudha on several occasions, and he is an absolute credit to the restaurant. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be remembered as a returning guest. He always offers excellent recommendations, demonstrates a deep knowledge of the menu and ingredients, and handles every request with a smile. This level of personal and attentive service makes every dinner here feel special. My only small suggestion for improvement would be the Chinese tea selection. While they have some options, I feel that expanding the variety of high-quality Chinese teas would really complete the authentic dining experience. All in all, Lion X is a fantastic restaurant that we happily recommend to anyone. The combination of incredible food, a beautiful space, and truly exceptional service makes it a winner every...

We had an outstanding dinner at Lion X, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Honestly, we didn’t expect a hotel Chinese restaurant in Bali to be this good!

The atmosphere is elegant and stylish, with a great mix of modern design and traditional Chinese touches. It feels fancy but still welcoming—and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.

What impressed us most was how they elevated familiar Chinese dishes using premium ingredients and bold, artistic presentation—while still preserving authentic flavors. Every dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully served. Portions were just right—neither too little nor too much.

Service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, informative, and made sure everything ran smoothly. A special shout-out to Gung Yudha for his warm and professional service.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking refined Chinese cuisine in Bali. We’ll...

I rarely leave reviews but the experience today was nothing short of perfect. One week into Bali and our Chinese palettes were craving some Chinese food. Food was delicious, we had the beef slice egg noodle and crab meat fried rice, xiao long bao and lemongrass jelly with lime sorbet. Saw neighbouring table ordered a fancy lychee shrimp ball that was twinkling with lights and i knew i had to get it. Chinese food (imo) shouldn't cost that much so we were very pleasantly surprises by our bill total (super affordable, plus friendly staff tipped us off about the discount that we weren't aware of. We were ready to pay the full price because it was that good.) Was served some mooncake and fortune cookies too. Overall very affordable for 5 star hotel restaurant, great ambience and fantastic service. Will definitely be back again when in Bali.
