A Culinary Masterpiece at Steak Smith
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Steak Smith, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Novi, who escorted us to a beautiful table. The restaurant’s unique layout offers two delightful settings—a chic, air-conditioned glass enclosure for an intimate indoor experience or an outdoor seating area with serene water views that instantly set a relaxed tone.
Our evening continued to impress with exceptional service. Leo, our attentive waiter, took the time to explain the menu choices in great detail, ensuring that every recommendation was perfectly suited to our tastes. We began our meal with a crisp Caesar salad, which featured slightly grilled romaine lettuce leaves, adding an exquisite barbecue flavor that elevated the dish. The Angus Beef Tartare was another highlight—beautifully presented in an actual beef marrow bowl, allowing us to enjoy the rich, velvety marrow alongside the tartare, creating a luxurious and deeply flavorful experience.
For the main course, we each enjoyed the tenderloin stockyard steak—a 200-gram, 200-day cured, only grain-fed Australian beef that was, without a doubt, the most tender steak I have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection by Adi, the steak was complemented by an exquisite selection of sauces, each adding a unique and delicious touch to the dish. The asparagus, delicately finished with a touch of Parmesan cheese, was also prepared to perfection.
The drink selection did not disappoint either, with an impressive array of cocktails and wines that perfectly accompanied our meal. To finish the dining experience, we indulged in the house-made Catalan cake and key lime pie, both outstanding and reflective of the restaurant’s commitment to quality in every detail.
A heartfelt thank you to Novi, Leo, Adi, and Jun for orchestrating such a memorable evening. Steak Smith isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of culinary artistry, impeccable service, and a truly inviting atmosphere. It’s clear why Steak Smith is rated as one of Bali’s top dining destinations—it certainly deserves the #1 spot in my book. I look forward to...
Read moreWe walked-in at dinner time after our excursion to Nusa Penida, and a table was available for us. The architecture and design of the restaurant was amazing with a Texan vibe. The crews dressed like cowboys, complete with boots. Upon arrival, we were served cold wet towel to freshen up. They were very generous with the breads; cornbread, sourdough and potato buns were served that night. The wait staff was very accommodating, attentive and friendly. I already requested the restaurant menu in advance prior to our arrival in Bali, so we pretty much knew what we were going to order. We ordered quickly because we were already hungry. We ordered Smoked Wagyu BBQ, Tenderloin Black Angus Tenderloin. The steak came with a side dish, sourdough we chose grilled blue cabbage. We also ordered organic grilled vegetables with romesco sauce. The foods arrived within 15 minutes. The ribs, with its homemade rub and marinated 24 hours in advance, was so tender and delicious. The steak was done medium done perfectly. We really enjoyed our dinner that night at our own pace. It was not rushed or anything like that. The restaurant also served hs a complimentary rosemary chocolate as dessert. I was pleasantly surprised by the gesture, and the chocolate flavour profile was something I experienced for the first time. Beautifully balanced and sweet. The chocolate also had a edible QR code for us to write a review. Overall, this is the place to go if you want to indulge yourself and to end your trip with fine meats. Tue restaurant pride itself in sourcing the best meat from a few locations from around the world. Best to reserve your table in advance to avoid...
Read moreThis is clearly the best steakhouse in Nusa Dua, if not in Bali. We ordered the tenderloin cut of Campbell Black Angus and the Baby Chicken. They both tasted great. The meat was grilled on wood and charcoal, which made it so exquisite, charred enough on the outside and tender to perfection on the inside. We asked for Red Wine Bone Marrow for the sauce and it brought up the flavor even more. We chose baked sweet potato as a side dish and it was the perfect choice to accompany the steak. The chicken comes with smoked chimichurri sauce and it was perfect as well, not too empowering too much to cover the taste of the chicken. Thanks to Leo, who served our table, who understands and is very knowledgeable with the ingredients as there were some allergens we had to avoid. He made sure everything was perfect. And thank you for the complimentary chocolate bites! Overall this spot recommended to steak lovers out there. The food is great, the service is awesome, and the atmosphere is breathtaking, overlooking the greenery complex of Marriott/Renaissance Nusa Dua resort. Will definitely...
