Royalty..Balinese Style
It’s nothing short of magnificent. This exquisite, luxurious villa resort is situated in Nusa Dua on the south side of Bali. With 20 spacious villas that are over 3000 square feet, each room is styled with traditional Balinese, and modern furnishings and amenities. The outdoor area comes with its own private pool, outdoor shower, gazebo, daybeds, lounge chairs, and dining area. It’s a facility where security and services are available “24 / 7”.
Included is a fruit basket, bottled water, and a fridge stocked and soft drinks. Slippers, sun hats, a beach bag and a handmade fan, were complimentary upon arrival, all of which were gifted to us on the day of departure.
The Royal villas offer a clear view of the ocean, while also providing guests an opportunity to view stunning sunrise, and sunset.
The well manicured tropical garden, and the sound of the ocean waves in the background, were just some of the features that complimented and enhanced the ambience of the villas. This facility is the ideal getaway location for honeymooners, newlywed or the romantic at heart.
Our breakfast opportunities were endless, since there were an A la Carte options to choose from. Our afternoon highlight was the 3 pm tea-time on the beach patio while taking in the various watersport activities.
Complimentary transportation was offered to and from local restaurants and shopping areas. The staff arranged tours, booked dinner reservation and provided other “special” services upon request.
Though the facility, amenities and services are noteworthy, the experience would not be “Royal” had it not been for the phenomenal staff. They are the ones that made our Balinese experience exceptionally unforgettable.
Dressed in traditional, stylish Balinese attire, we were respectfully greeted throughout the day by everyone whom we encountered and it was a consistent practice throughout the duration of our stay. The Royal Santrian is the perfect location option for those individuals seeking tranquility, romance or both. This facility did not disappoint, and it was exactly what we were hoping to experience while in Bali.
I would like to mention the departments and names of some individuals, whom we have had the pleasure of interacting with daily.

Read moreFrom the moment we arrived at The Royal Santrian, we knew we were in for something special. Mr. Albert welcomed us with a beautiful ceremony — far more than just a welcome drink. It was a calming, heartfelt gesture that set the tone for our entire stay. We’ve never experienced anything quite like it at any other hotel.||We booked 5 nights in a Deluxe One-Bedroom Private Villa, and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was — even larger than we expected. The villa was beautifully decorated, with plenty of room both inside and out. The private pool was also bigger than any we’ve had in previous villa stays. A lovely touch was the complimentary minibar stocked with soda, beer, and snacks, refilled daily.||Staff||Communication was seamless via WhatsApp, and we received quick responses every time. We mostly spoke with Albert, who helped us arrange spa treatments, a romantic dinner on the beach, transport, and ferry tickets to our next destination at Gili Trawangan. After just one day, the staff already knew our names and greeted us personally — it made the experience feel warm and welcoming. Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful, and a special thanks to the lady who took care of us during our romantic dinner.||Pool||In addition to the private villa pool, there’s a good-sized main pool. We rarely saw anyone using it — which makes sense, given how generous the villa pools are.||Beach||The beach looks nice and you can enjoy peaceful walks along the shoreline. However, swimming in the ocean isn’t possible due to sea urchins. For us, this wasn’t a problem at all — the serene setting and excellent pool options more than made up for it.||Food||Breakfast was included in our room and featured fresh fruit, juice, bread, and pancakes, all available à la carte. It would’ve been nice to see options like yogurt, oatmeal, or eggs — perhaps they were available and we just missed them. A lovely daily ritual was the complimentary afternoon tea from 15:00–17:00, served at the restaurant or even in your villa if you prefer.||We had all our meals at the hotel, and everything was delicious. Both the restaurant by the beach and the one next to the pool are stylish and cozy, with beautiful interiors that create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. The only odd part was the background music — it sounded like someone playing a cheap organ. We asked about it and were told it was due to music licensing. Hopefully, they can improve this, with some nice lounge music as it affects the otherwise lovely dining vibe.||Gym||There’s no gym on-site, but we were able to borrow dumbbells, which were delivered and picked up daily. It’s a short-term solution, and we hope they’ll consider adding a small gym or at least provide yoga mats and basic equipment in the villas. Even a free access pass to a nearby hotel gym would be a great option.||Spa||We had a massage treatment in one of the villas, and it was perfect. The ambiance, music, temperature, and oils were all spot-on. The therapists were clearly skilled and professional — we felt safe and relaxed throughout.||We also tried a few places outside the hotel. Zahra Spa, despite its glowing reviews, was a disappointment — it felt more like an assembly line than a relaxing experience. Honestly, it’s not worth it. On the other hand, Rahayu Bali Spa, just across the street from the hotel, was surprisingly good and definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something outside the hotel.||Location||To the left of the hotel are two supermarkets, and a short 5+ minute walk to the right brings you to restaurants, shops, and pharmacies — very convenient.||Overall||We had a truly wonderful stay at The Royal Santrian. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, adults-only escape in Bali, don’t overthink it — just book it. You...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at The Royal Santrian Resort in Nusa Dua for our honeymoon in January 2025 and it was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special.
One of the best things about this resort is how intimate and private it feels. It's a smaller property compared to some of the bigger resorts in Bali, and that made it perfect for us. We felt like we had our own little slice of paradise to relax and enjoy each other’s company without the crowds. It was the perfect setting for our romantic honeymoon!
When we arrived, we were welcomed by such warm and friendly staff, who offered us delicious refreshments after our flight—such a thoughtful touch. Right from the start, we felt completely at ease and taken care of. The staff were so accommodating with early check-in and late check-out, which really helped with our travel plans.
The resort itself is simply stunning. Recently renovated, it’s been well-maintained, and everything from our private villa to the main restaurant and bar felt luxurious yet relaxed. We couldn’t get enough of the beautiful views of the ocean and lush gardens.
One of the sweetest surprises was the little messages we received with our breakfast each day. It was such a nice personal touch that made us feel extra special and added to the romance of the trip.
The staff were amazing throughout our stay. The rooms were serviced twice a day, so everything always felt fresh and tidy, and the daily afternoon tea was a lovely way to unwind. They even arranged for a friendly private chauffeur who took us around Nusa Dua and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, spas, and shopping. It was incredibly convenient and made exploring the area so effortless.
The food was another highlight. Every meal we had was absolutely delicious, with a great mix of local flavours and international options. We couldn’t get enough of the meals, and the menu had something for everyone.
Overall, our honeymoon at The Royal Santrian was unforgettable. It’s not just the beautiful setting or the luxury—it’s the genuine warmth and care of the staff that made this place so special. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, top-tier...
