I recently celebrated my birthday at the seaside bonfire dining experience at Conrad BalI. From the moment the staff (Hendra) escorted us from room to the beach. The warm welcome and genuine smiles instantly made us feel like VIP guests. Upon arrival, there were lots of mosquitoes due to the rain season which could have been a slight inconvenience. However, the staff (Yoga) quickly took notice and promptly arranged mosquito repellent water and mosquito coils for us. He even kindly asked us to sit by the bonfire side for a few moments until the mosquitoes subsided before we began our dining experience. Their thoughtfulness and proactive approach to ensuring our comfort were highly appreciated. Throughout the evening, both Hendra and Yoga not only provided excellent service but also engaged us in delightful conversations. They shared fascinating insights into Balinese culture, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of the local traditions and customs. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to learn and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Bali, especially as first-time visitors. The food mainly from local products which is fresh. Conclusion: Food is good as expected in a 5 star hotel. The service is exceptional. Their warmth and willingness to go the extra mile made a...
Read moreOur absolute favorite restaurant at the resort! This was by far the restaurant we enjoyed the most—outstanding in flavor, service quality, and the professionalism of the staff. We actually dined here on our very first visit and were so impressed that we immediately felt we wanted to come back. The meat dishes were especially delicious, and the fish was also excellent.
If our holiday had been longer, we would definitely have returned several more times to try more of their specialties—we tasted many of their dishes and every one of them was full of flavor.
A special mention goes to the bread served before the meal: incredibly tasty, especially with the butter.
The local wines were also generally very good; the only exception was the rosé, which we didn’t enjoy as much. One small suggestion: we hope the restaurant updates their wine glasses soon. While all the other tableware—glasses, plates, cutlery—was beautifully presented, the wine glasses felt a bit outdated and not on par with the otherwise excellent service and products.
Most importantly, the staff deserve the highest praise. They are extremely polite, respectful, and genuinely attentive. The number of staff is remarkable, which ensures truly...
Read moreAbout the worst seafood restaurant and experience in the whole island. We stayed at Conrad and came in right after they opened, 6PM. Shortly a waitress took our order and listen to this: My child’s food, from the kids’ menu, came at 6:50PM. It was one small dollop of spaghetti. FIFTY MINUTES to prepare that. Close to 7PM my order came, Tuna Woku. The menu says that it is a “Spicy Sulawesi Style Braised Tuna, Pan-Fried Potato, Fresh Kemangi and Tomato Confit”. What came was three piece of pale tuna, about 5cm in length each, drenched in what seems like water. It was not spicy at all. And I didn’t know Tuna could be that chewy. I need to ask the restaurant how to make Tuna to be that hard so I could feed it to my enemies. Oh and the “Pan Fried Potato” in the description is three shred pieces of potato. Not shredded potatoes, but the product of a potato which they shred and took 3 small shred pieces. If I work there and this is what I serve, I would be embarrassed. The food took close to one hour to come out, and we’re done with the food (and the restaurant) in 7 minutes. I couldn’t finish my tuna. Threw a small piece to a cat there, even the cat...
