WORST villa that i ever experienced
1.Friendly staff but a rude host: I was "educated" by the host when I called around 6-7pm to check in to the villa because they hadn't messaged me on Agoda to confirm the check-in time. Since I was traveling and hadn't noticed the message (Agoda messages didn't pop up notifications), I called after getting a local line. The host scolded me for this.
2.The villa was only supposed to accommodate 8 people, but we had 9. So, I requested an extra mattress. The host charged me $30 USD or 480,000 rupiah for 3 nights. Initially, they offered a lazy chair, which I found excessive for $30 USD. They moved the "lazy chair" from outside the swimming pool. When I asked for a discount, the host texted me saying he was not happy, stating that the extra charge was for the additional person, not for the mattress. For him the lazy chair provided was a reasonable sleeping arrangement for 3 days. I wanted to ask the host if he could sleep in the lazy chair for 3 nights, but I refrained from pressing the issue because I was traveling with my family and staying there for 3 nights, feeling like I was a guest in someone else's home. I had already fully paid, so I remained silent. finally the host requested his staff to change a mattress and move back the lazy chair to pool and we still paid 48000 rupiah, because we wanted to travel in happy mood, urged with the rude person only spoil our mood
3.The toilet/shower area is considered open air with an open rooftop. So, if the weather is cool, you will experience a cool breeze. The water pressure is very, very low, making it difficult to adjust the hot water amidst the cool wind and cool water. My entire family was very disappointed. The worst part is that the toilet upstairs automatically stops water flow if the pressure is too low, rendering the upstairs toilet unusable. 4.Initially, we preferred not to wear shoes inside the villa, but the floor was too dirty for that. I thought the airport shuttle was free, so I rented this villa because of its good location. However, they charged me 250,000 rupiah for one car. With my family of 9, we needed two cars, totaling 500,000 rupiah. In the end, I used Gojek to get to the airport, which was cheaper at only 400,000 rupiah.
Don't believe what they advertise.

Read moreAdditional (reply to host): For this case, you should text your guests at least 3 days in advance. Do not expect your guests to always be online on booking apps like you. As I mentioned, Agoda is not a messaging app, so it does not have notifications like other messaging apps. Please be aware of this to prevent your staff from waiting unnecessarily. We informed you in March 2024 about needing extra accommodation. You should have enough time to inform your staff. Besides, adding a mattress is a very common service in the accommodation field. You are the one who should apologize to your staff instead. As mentioned earlier, we appreciate your staff's effort, but not yours (the host/owner).
The room was satisfied. But the water pressure in the 2th floor bathroom was low or even stopped, making showers frustrating.
I must give a compliment to the lady staff who lives nearby for her effort to served us very well. She was very friendly and helpful.
The issue was with the owner. His attitude towards customers was poor, and he should learn how to communicate with people more politely. We didn't ask for much, just an extra mattress because we had an additional person with us and we had informed the owner on March 2024. However, he only provided us with a beach lounge chair and still charged us USD30 for it. He then accused us for responding his message 6 hrs late, we didn't realize he actually message us in the morning due to Agoda is not a messaging app, thus we couldn't manage to respond him immediate. We stopped communicating with him after he refused to provide us a mattress, choosing instead to accept what he offered. However, the lady staff member kindly brought us a mattress later.
In my opinion, arguing with customers does not leave a good impression and reflects poorly on one's professionalism. It's unfortunate to have our vacation experience marred by such behavior.
