Finally I can write this down for my visit to this humble but amazing coffee shop in Bali. I hope this is going to be LEGEN...(wait for it)
So I decided to take a walk on the scorching afternoon on Tuesday, probably 3 weeks ago, where I craved a kick of caffeine to start the day (yes, it's a 'late' start, but still a start). I was welcomed by a lovely barista and suddenly felt the place is just right.
I checked the place through their instagram and I was not disappointed at the slightest. A bit bias since it's a homage to one of my favourite show. Anyway, continue to the review of the place.
You can spot the place quite from a far (it's not far from Kilo Kitchen) with its soft yellow-painted wall, probably resembling the yellow umbrella Ted took from Tracy. The place has AC so you will feel cool after walking on a hot day during monsoon season in Indonesia. It's not a big place, but it serves the purpose, which is coffee and other cool beverages.
The barista has a great product knowledge and also she will always give you recommendations based on your preferences. Since I'm a coffee-enthusiast and drink espresso whenever possible, I decided to order the usual, a double-shot espresso and a Japanese-iced filter coffee to tackle that unusually hot day. Also one pain-au-chocolate (chocolate croissant)
She (the barista) is well-versed and told me about the notes of the espresso and described the beverages in detailed manner. Their playlist is also suitable for a small, yet humble coffee shop, which is not too loud for my liking.
It's safe to say, the espresso was amazing, the iced Japanese is great, the croissant is flaky, and the place is cool to spend an hour of your day.
Whenever you are in Bali and somewhere around Seminyak, please do visit this coffee shop. Please. Especially the fact that the world is opening up again for travel.
I would probably visit them again sometime in the future.

I told the staff that I don't like my coffee too sweet, so she offered an extra shot of coffee ๐ฅฐ (so sweet of her) - it tasted so perfect.
Coffee was creamy and milky, just the right amount of coffee taste with the subtle brown sugar aroma. I was pleasantly surprised. So many places could get brown sugar drinks wrong as they usually err on the sweeter side. 40k IDR
And the almond crossaint was flaky, buttery, crispy and fresh! It has just the right amount of custard filling in it. It ain't sweet either. So it isn't surfeiting. 35K IDR
PLUS - This crossaint is super hugeee. It's almost 2x the size of usual crossaints' size?
It's a perfect meal with the friendliest balinese people. ๐
I savoured everything right down to its last drop and crumb. ๐
Quality food. So I came back for more (but the crossaints were...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place is morning cafe which has been open since 07am. When we come here, most of their customers are foreign tourists who stay at hotel/lodgings around Seminyak.
The first impression when arriving at the location is fresh with a yellow exterior and colorful interior. We meant to have breakfast but unfortunately breakfast is off every Tuesday and we come on Tuesday. What an unexpected coincidence.
The price of coffee is quite expensive because it might adjust to the customer in Seminyak. One thing that should be improved in costumer journey is the entrance where it is written pull but it is adjacent to the stairs going up which has a small space. This can be changed if the owner wants to give a touch of improvement to the service. The rest was perfect. Fast ordering, comfortable interior, nice ambience, kind staff and everything is good. ...
