Salt blowing experience!!! If you are not here only for mediocre service, good welcoming food and eco friendly restaurant then please read on.

It was 6pm and we walked in greeted by wait staff and whom I believe was the floor manager. We were the only customers and when we sat down I was told my daughter’s water bottles have to be hidden as no outside food and drinks which I fully accepted. We ordered freshly squeezed guava and orange juice.

Guava juice: Served with stainless steel straw however as the juice was so thick, grainy and lumpy you will need to suck extremely hard. Think of it like lumpy apple sauce with the core inside. It was so hard to drink then we gave up on the straws.

Orange juice: I decided to give them another chance by ordering orange juice. It was so sour so much so that it’s like drinking sour limes! It felt like a wake up drink!

Welcoming food: We were unexpectedly given welcoming food which was good and not great because the bread tasted like stale bread.

Pasta: The three pastas then came…and they were all extremely salty that we had to force ourselves to drink the lumpy and grainy guava juice to quench our thirst. Tortellini ,their signature dish was probably the most edible. The mushroom risotto was so salty. Half a bottle of salt probably went in there. Penne pasta was not al dente and about 30seconds off the cooking mark. The beef was overcooked and mushy.

Ended with a complimentary dessert…chocolates.

I was not impressed by how they took my feedback on the juice and did not proceed further to give them verbal feedback. I have no choice but to write on google. Also reading through the reviews, saltyness was an issue 6 years ago and still is from the experience.

You can get better value...

Our first time back to Bali & Zibiru after Covid..The quant place has had a total refurb…now looking very sleek yet still warm and friendly. The staff have been superbly trained regarding the Italian menu, pouring wine & wiping down the table between course. A freebie starter of pumpkin soup & bread was delicious. As a table of 4 we decided to share the stuffed Burrata & salad; Delicious. The boys opted for the daily special homemade pasta with bolognaise : another WOW 🤩 My friend chose 2 starters seared Tuna & chargrilled vegetables… perfect for her as she didn’t want pasta. I selected homemade pasta with rabbit, pea’s & mushrooms.. Another WOW… We selected a bottle of Italian wine to share..which for us is unheard of in Bali.. Beautiful full bodied red… We decided not to go down the dessert road although I did spot one that passed my way… looked yummy. The waitress delivered 2 mini homemade truffles each which finished off the evening magnificently. We’ll back again before we leave Bali. Cost : we decided wasn’t too bad considering the boys had to large draft beers to begin / good wine / staters & mains & their extras : we walked away @ $50AUD p/p. Great work guys!! A lovely cosy place for a date night in their fresh...
