PURNAMA HOUSE KUTA — Hotel in Kuta

What I liked: Great proximity to the airport, well signed from the street. Probably a bit far for a solo female traveller to walk at night (1km by walking, 400m as the crow flies), I got a scooter instead and would recommend others do same. If you’re looking for a simple and clean basic room that’s nice and quiet, this could be for you. In my opinion it’s a perfect (and cheap) stop for a layover. The property popped my key in the room so I could self check-in as I arrived late in the evening. They kindly messaged me on booking.com to let me know in advance this would be the process, and when I walked into the room the AC was on which is a nice touch. Seems to be a local business, which is awesome. The greenery is also pretty.

What could be improved: Beds are pretty hard, though I was tired so I feel asleep in no time. I can just imagine it might be a bit tough for larger people or senior travellers. The pictures make the property look a little flashier than it is in reality, but I would recommend it for budget travellers for sure. My room smelled a little bit mouldy but after 2 minutes of being inside you don’t notice it. The AC isn’t super powerful but it’s fine for the job. This is budget stay and people should keep that...

The online photos were kinda different from the actual. We were quite dismayed as we had a better place and facilities of a similar price. Unfortunately, there was no vacancy.

Location wise, it's really close to the airport. Good for a quick stopover.

The room has complimentary 02 bottles of water and 02 clean towels. There were mosquitos so ensure keep the doors closed.

The toilet sink was situated (outside the toilet) beside the connecting door that was blocked.

The water really stinks after the first flush of the toilet. The toilet door was molded and damaged from the inside. No hot water (shower) available.

Wifi speed was fast.

The bed comfortability was okay. The white bed wall has a stain even though it was covered in plastic. The color of the sheet was grey and gloomy.

The wall needed another paint job.

The breakfast was great. Fresh juice and delivered as per request even if it was too early to catch our flight. We really appreciate the gesture.

Great place to stay close to the airport. The room was mostly clean.

However: The door to the bathroom didn't close properly since it was a wooden door and changed its shaped due to extreme humidity and wetness. Secondly we didn't have warm water as advertised, no matter where we turned the handle the water stayed the same temperature. We had very few toilet paper

Nonetheless, except for the planes taking off, it is very quite. Yet it is somewhat hard to find and you feel like you are walking into the false property.
